Those stats don't take into account the quality of player that he's providing chances for, though.

One would like to think that his stats would be significantly better if he was feeding the likes of Kane, Son, Deki etc?
Doesn't usually work like that as there are other factors such as how teams defend against you. Holjberg's, for example, best assists per min ratio is at Southampton and his last two seasons there, he averaged more key passes than either season here.

So that’s 8 free kick goals then. The others listed are what’s called “assists.”

Ward Prowse has scored 14. No one has scored more in the premier league era.
???

We're you under the impression I disagreed with you? I was just providing all his stats relating to free-kicks and set piece assist. That's why I made sure to label them clearly, so as to avoid any confusion.....

The following players are either out of contract in June or will be entering the final year.

GK - Johnstone, Pope
LCB - NDicka, Senesi, Romagnoli
CB - De Vrij, Koulibaly, Tarkowski
RCB - Skriniar, Ginter, Milenkovic
LWB - Kostic, Perisic
CM - Ruiz, Laimer, Bissouma, Grillitsch, Tielemans, Renato Sanches, Kamara, Svanberg
RWB - Mukiele, Celik, Cuadrado, Singo (option to 2024)
AM - Eriksen, Dybala, Kamada, Soler, Asensio
CF - Bale, Jesus, Depay, Thuram

I'm sure I have missed some off but there is potentially a lot of good value to be had this summer that would significantly upgrade our first XI and squad.

Sorry, my bad, I thought you were the guy had replied to originally who said Eriksen had scored more free kicks than JWP.

I really think Tarkowski would be a clever acquisition. Comfortable playing on the left, great heading ability, HG and just a solid overall defender. If Conte is looking for experience and someone familiar with the league, Tarkowski would be my suggestion.

There's an awful lot of talent on that list that would fit like a glove. Johnstone, Mukiele, Ndicka, Kostic, Laimer, Dybala and Eriksen would be the pick of the bunch for me. I think we'd have a decent chance at any of them whereas I think Koulibaly would be heading elsewhere.

I think Johnstone as back up keeper is a no brainer as is Eriksen, both on frees.

Laimer and Kostic look perfect for a Conte team so would love both.

I think some such as Dybala, Koulibaly, Ruiz and Soler might be out of reach but would be great signings.

I'd prefer some different options at LCB and RWB but would be happy if we ended up with Singo and NDicka.

Love your commitment to this thread mate.

If we base it on recent ITK updates regarding positions being looked at, I would go as follows.

GK - Johnstone, free and HG and will be purely back up to Hugo. Want us to use our budget on more pressing areas.

CB - would love Gvardiol or Bastoni but I don't see it personally. Would go for NDicka as I rate him and he already plays alongside my next player.

LWB - Kostic, wand of a left foot and experience playing as a wing back.

RWB - Singo, love his physicality and think he would complement Kostic' excellent deliver when arriving at the back post.

AM - Eriksen every day of the week.

With CM and FW I have them linked personally. EG if we buy a CM who is not on the list and would cost more, I would aim for a 'free 'agent or short contract and vice versa.

So my preference is either CM Phillips and Dybala forward. Or Laimer CM and De Ketelaere/Martinez.

So incomings of

Johnstone
NDicka
Kostic
Singo
Eriksen
Phillips and Dybala/Laimer and CDK

Rodon
Winks
Lo Celso
Ndombele
Moura/Stevie (maybe both)
Carter-Vickers
Sanchez?
Gollini

How much of this 150million is coming from the sale of these players? Assuming they all go
Add Emerson and Reguillon to that. Doherty has been too good before his injury to sell and Sessegnon is rated by Conte and is still only 21, but we need to get some real quality for the now in the wingback positions, so I’d sacrifice (doesn’t hurt me much to do it tbh) those two to fund those improvements

Almost exactly what I'd run with. Would be more than pleased if we managed this sort of window.

You're arguing for the sake of it, because you personally don't want/rate JWP.

Fair play, you're entitled to that.

I'll personally simply refuse to believe that JWP wouldn't get significantly more assists if he was feeding our front line.

Add to this Yilmaz from besiktas at lwb who we could potentially loan straight out for a year to cover the fact that kostic is quite old and return in 2023.

and hopefully bremer

Yep. There are certainly a significant number of players - none of whom are superstars (or expensive) who could help to hugely boost our squad ahead of next season: Johnstone, Bremer, Ndicka, Kostic, Yilmaz, Singo, Spence, Laimer, Eriksen, De Ketelaere being prime examples. We could probably do quite a bit of 'under the radar shopping' and compile a truly competitive bunch.

We were linked last summer to Maxence Lacroix of Wolfsburg, who I liked the look of. He tends to play RCB. But if picked him up it would allow Romero to switch center (as he played for Atalanta), and provide a quality option in rotation. We’ll be playing on a number of fronts next year. And while not as much a priority compared to LCB, if we sell Davinson, Lacroix would be a good pickup.

He’s had a poor season according to many German football experts. Makes him potentially cheaper maybe, but puts question marks on his ceiling.

Looked to have the full skill set when were linked before. A dip in form wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, but I haven't seen anything of him this season either. I'm thinking of how flaky our defense was (especially Dier) and the huge improvement Conte got out of them almost immediately, primarily by switching to a back 3. I don't know what system Lacroix has been playing in.
