What does rescue our season entail? Top 4 is so improbable, so where should we be to see it as a rescue?

I mean top 4 is never decided by mid February. All the teams going for that 4th spot are inconsistent. That's why it's so open. Right now it's us on a shit run. I don't forsee united/west ham/arsenal/wolves going on a huge winning run through to the end of the season.

We've done well in finally moving some players on this January. But it's a damning indictment of our transfer activity that Doherty and Emerson already, not long after signing them, look like they'll be sucking up wages and squad space while we try to shift them on too.
