There are no guarantees, the Championship is a difficult league. They would probably lose some of their better players like Rice.

I think they're probably "too good to go down" (tm) but I thought that the last time they went down so you never know.
They have the ECL to play alongside a relegation dogfight.

That isn't typically a good recipe. Thursday night you are motivated to go into the next round. Sunday you have to get motivated to fight for points, different mindset is needed.

Much better than last week. Another good display from Emerson, and Sonny again looking sharper off the bench with a bit of space in front of him. Clean sheet too!
Moyes West Ham though, far easier for Dier and co to deal with, than Rogers fast paced Leicester.

That is great news for Liverpool fans!
A lot of people rightfully pointing out that they've only conceded 15 goals and lost 2.

But the flips-side is they've only won 10 (less than 50%) and 9 teams have scored more than them.

That typically doesn't get you top 4.

Smashing win. Royal finding space in central upfield positions is excellent. Kulu ball carrying second half was great too, he can really stretch the game. Delighted for Son too, would keep him on the bench for another one though. And we should be giving Skipp plenty of minutes now to establish himself. He reads the game very well and plays simply and effectively.

Good second half, but really need to eliminate these 1st half performances. I'm personally not any more encouraged as we'll still see that first half performance many more times for the remainder of the season, for whatever reason.

On the positives though, great from Davies and Emerson, thought Davies looked much better there than Perisic has of recent and what a finish from Royal. Thought Son was great when he came on, looked tidier and sharper and wouldn't be against continuing to see him come on to make an impact from the bench if I'm honest, at least in the short run.

Just on the way back, very pleased with that. If buying a player like Porro has had the effect of Emerson Royal upping his game with the increased competition then I'm all for it. Fair play to the lad, he's accepted it as a challenge and he's upped his game, long may it continue. There's nothing wrong with good healthy competition in in the squad. He was definitely man of the match in my opinion.

Much better performance today, much more enjoyable watch, better possession and more positive play.

West Ham were poor but no coincidence that under Stellini & Mason the players look like the shackles have been taken off a bit and that the players energy felt a bit lighter.

The complaining before a ball was kicked and early in the game was embarrassing. Again.

And now they'll mostly all go MIA because there's no real hate to dish out.

We have some proper rageplums on here.
You'd think people would learn because it's always the same.
Massive tantrums, calling players and coaching staff all sorts, and predicting doom...usually before the game has even started.
They then grow emboldened if we haven't scored in the first 10 minutes (it doesn't matter that there's another team out there) and by half time, have raged themselves into a frenzy.

Only to end up looking a bit foolish at the end.

I mean, fuck me, does everything have to be instant nowadays? Why can't we wait and see what happens before getting angry about sweet f.a.?

Wanted to like, funny and winner this because I love a Dwarf reference after a win. Load of Tottenham that is, a steaming pile of Hotspur!
I love that line despite it being derogatory to Spurs. But fk it's funny and clever. I'm a boy from the Dwarf. Loved it since it first aired and can recite 70%of it. I'm a bit sad lol.

Dwarfer for life me mate. That Hotspur line is my all time favourite in a show full of quotable dialogue. Met three of the four and one of the Hollys. All good people which makes it an even better show.
