Our squad isn’t good enough and Paratici missed a huge opportunity to improve it in the summer. Except for Romero all of his signings have been questionable, Emerson in particular is unbelievably shit. Tired of everyone defending him, he’s not good enough

Winks also not good enough

This defeat makes it much harder to get top 4 which we desperately need. We need to make several sells and signings in the summer

Shambles!

Defence all over the place but I said earlier, the midfield two in the first half have massively let the team down.

Bentancur however, now he looks a baller!

It was a better second half initially, but all in all it's been a pretty damn poor showing.

What's frustrated me is since one of our best performances which I think was Leicester away, we haven't gotten back to the 3-5-2 we used then. Despite getting wins in a 3-4-3, the performances have never been greatly convincing. I'm just surprised we've persisted with it so much considering the football we've played with the other setup.

I'm sick of still surrendering possession to be honest, we've been doing it for years now.

Blame Sanchez and Royal all you want but letting them have 22 plus shots against our defense you are going to concede. midfield needs to be sorted.
Man, people on here love a Jenas to blame, the whole team was shite, midfield and control the most obvious. But people love a scape goat.

Ah well ,back too reality ,3/4 players short of even fielding a decent 1st eleven never mind the requisite 2 players in every position .

That’s gotta be the most stressful game to watch in a long time (and there’s been a few!).

PEH and Winks as a midfield just does not work and was clearly the reason they had so much possession.

Outplayed completely at home and deserved to lose. Bentancur showed some great passing, Lucas was involved in both goals, Royal can't play another match if we want top 4. Time to try Bergwijn, Lucas, Doherty, some kid from academy or anyone there. I've seen more good games from Dier at RB than Royal.

Abysmal. Southampton looked leagues ahead of us. All the good feeling from the Leicester game well and truly gone now.
