Welcome to the Spurs Vs Olympique de Marseille Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

Emerson Hojbjerg Bentancur Perisic
Kulu Kane Richarlison

Can't see too many positions that should be up for debate right now tbh.

I'm going to miss hearing that classic Conference League song...

Seriously though, it's going to be great to see CL football at Spurs again.

I'd start the same side today against City.

Think PEH has to rest this one. Keep Richarlison totally fresh. We'll need all of their workrate against City.

Lloris

Sanchez
Dier
Davies

Royal
Bissouma
Bentancur
Perisic

Kulusevski
Kane
Son

Ton of their players will be up for this one.

Sanchez, Tavares, Gendouzi, Kolasniac all ex Goons, Suarez, and our ex keeper Pau Lopez.

Looking at their results and set up, they play a similar system but more of a 3-4-2-1.

We definitely should be targeting Kolasinac though, from memory he's not the quickest so whoever plays RWF should be able to torment him.

I'm so fucking excited for this game though. The CL back at the Lane.

its a different luis suarez, the colombian one, kolasanic plays more at lcb these days, which actually suits his game more, still they do have some really quality like payet (not playing atm though), veretout, gerson is quality, full back clauss has also seemed to have some kind of unlikely rise as well

Yup and Tavares is pretty poor under pressure . He was an absolute flop for arsenal

I’d be very surprised if Davies, Perisic and Kulu don’t rotate back in. The one I’m most curious about is if Royal starts again. Surely he’s got to be rotated at some point.

Their team is better than I expected. We have pretty much turned up to the home games in CL with the exception of when we were playing at WHL and had the CL games at Wembley. Just hope it’s a sellout and the atmosphere is rocking.

Wonder if Emerson will get rotated for this one and if so for whom? Is Doherty ready to start yet? Would he play Lucas there perhaps?

Spence no way ready in contes eyes, Kulu LWB perhaps a bit attacking but we are at home… Perisic RWB and Sess LWB, otherwise when will Emerson start to get a rest?

Otherise I’d go same team as today but Kulu in for Richarlison.

——————Lloris
——Romero—Dier—Lenglet
Doherty—Bentancur—Skipp—Perisic
——Kulusevski—Kane—Richarlison

Rests for Hojbjerg, Sonny & Emerson I reckon.
