I’m confused - your first reply you disagreed but this one kinda implies you agree a little bit haha!

Regardless, I do agree Lucas can be very good when he’s on his game. And IMO, his game is an impact player, off the bench for the last 20 mins. When he can run at tired defences. Okay so it may not be his fault that he starts as much as he does, given our squad situation but I do believe we can switch things about and not need to start him.
Yeah that’s a great shout to be fair have you thought of applying for the managerial position at Spurs???????

If your clinging on to the hope of other results then what have Tottenham become. No chance what’s so ever of champions league place extremely lucky for top 6 place. Have you not been watching the most exciting football which spurs have played for years. We didn’t deserve to win tonight. Let me refresh how amazing our results have been, Colchester (embarrassing) , Newcastle(loss),Watford (2 draws), Norwich(draw), Soton(loss) Sheffield Utd (draw) not forgetting the amazing loss at Brighton. You getting the picture Champions league winning infrastructure with championship winning mindset on the football field. Complete lack of investment on the football pitch will take us years to get where we were!!!!

I agree that we’ve not had a great season and maybe we were lucky to get the 3 points today. But all the teams below the top 3 have been fumbling and as long as there is, mathematically, a chance to get a top four place, then I’m not giving up hope.

Getting CL will help us with the finances for the summer TW. Yes, Levy is a tightwad but without CL money, the next TW would be worse for us, as Levy would be more reluctant to spend as much.

See people are blaming Mourinho again. This place at times boggles the mind. I see posts like “atleast Poch did this, that etc”. Poch is gone, and for those who keep talking about him you must have forgotten how absolutely horrendous we were for the best part of a whole year under him. I love Poch for what he did but we were dreadful and he had to go.

Mourinho is here and we need to back him, he is getting our defence in order, 1 goal from open play in 3 matches (one against Liverpool) shows that we as a unit are getting stronger. Let’s give him time to make us a stronger unit and maybe, just maybe, give him a little slack now that our only fit striker (and one of the worlds best) is out for the entire fucking season.

Reminds me not to come to match day threads.

But it wasn't the "best part of a whole year" was it? We were in title race in January 2019. And in all four major competitions.

We fell apart in the league in February 2019 but beat Dortmund, City and Ajax in the Champions League.

We then started this season awkwardly with injuries to Lo Celso, Foyth, NDombele and we never sold Eriksen. And we didn't play Jan for reasons which have become all too painfully obvious. BUT we got points against City away, should have got a point aginast Liverpool away and held a two goal advantage against the Scum away. The POINT being we were SCORING however much we hated the fucking diamond.

It all fell apart completely when Lloris chucked it in his own net and fucked himself in the process against Brighton. We thought that was as bad as it could get. So we sacked Poch and hired Mourinho and we were PROMISED this would bring immediate results IF NOT SILVERWARE.

But now we see... what? Scraping a win against Norwich after our worst winter points haul since... I can't even remember? We can't defend, can't attack. What exactly has improved?

Yes, Mourinho has to be given time. But results AND performances have proven that Poch could also have been given time. We weren't sold "we will scrape a draw away to Norwich and scrape a scrappy win at home against Norwich", were we? We were told Poch was the reason this squad wasn't' performing. THAT'S what pisses people off.

I personally think the entire squad needs a major overhaul and am happy for Mourinho to do so. But while he plays Dier, Eriksen, Moura, Jan while leaving NDombele, Sanchez, Skipp and Parrot to rot on the bench or on the sidelines I think I'm allowed to be a little bit fucking worried.

Okay?

With Lloris back, Ndombele presumably back on Saturday, Gedson in, GLC finally getting games and the emergence of Tanganga, we suddenly look and feel a lot less threadbare which is positive.

Two more shrewd signings and sacking off bad apples like Rose and Eriksen, and I still think we can make a push for top 4.

Davies coming back quite soon is a plus too

We’ve never really had a good transfer window even the season we spent Bales money. The last real signing that gave us all a lift was VDV.

3 points, but let’s face it that was crap and against the bottom side at home. I thought we were fortunate to get the win really and 2nd half in particular was so disjointed and turgid stuff.

Good job we got that goal as well because the home crowd is starting to get restless. I’m finding it hard to see us beating any half decent team at the moment.

Only positives were Lo Celso and dare I say it Aurier.

Signing Toby, Wanyama, Eriksen, Dele, Son and Dier almost won us a title and got us to a CL Final. And they all lasted as long or longer than VDV.

Let's not be silly hey?

Hilarious. Phil Knobhead thinks Alli was our MotM tonight? He obviously was watching a different game to the rest of us. Lazy journalism. His brain is fried from watching all the ladies in the showers.

People were booing when Eriksen came on. Fucking idiots. We needed to win the game booing him wasn’t helpful at all.

We don’t need to buy established stars to make it a good window though.

I consider last summer’s TW to be better than other recent TWs as I believe GLC and Ndombele will be huge successes with us. Also hoping that Sess and Gedson will help the team forward too.

With the new stadium ready now, I’m expecting Levy to loosen the purse strings (at least more than in earlier windows).

No chance you are dreaming Levy will never take us to the top level. I agree Glc and Ndembele but I’m afraid Levy and Lewis are in this for profit and pound coins rather than glory!!!
