Really find it staggering just what a mess we are maybe I expected more from us this season especially as we are current Audi cup holders, I thought this would be the year that more silverware would follow oh well. (y)

If you lose the midfield you will lose the game normally. We sent strong enough there and we just lack ideas as running about chasing the game too much

Think Gedson looked alright again when he came on. Different role to Saturday sat deeper few tackles think he’ll be a good signing. Should get a start Saturday hopefully.

With Lloris back, Ndombele presumably back on Saturday, Gedson in, GLC finally getting games and the emergence of Tanganga, we suddenly look and feel a lot less threadbare which is positive.

Two more shrewd signings and sacking off bad apples like Rose and Eriksen, and I still think we can make a push for top 4.

The worry is less about the players, but more about the man who is supposed to be coaching them.

The reason Sessgnon is so conservative at the moment is he knows his future is at LB for us Sonos working hard on the defencive aspects of his game. Let him settle in and judge his attacking output once he has

And this is why he doesn’t get as much stick as he should.

Fans still have the memory of the Ajax game and think he deserves a place in the team, on merit for that game.

Thats in the past- look at his performances this season, and especially in the last 10 or so games. Absolutely shocking.

I also believe he only got his new contract on merit for the Ajax game.
Fucking last 10 games don’t you mean most of 2019 22 losses in the premier league. And I never dwell on the past all about pushing forward something that Daniel Levy never does!!!! Gets nearly there then starts over again 5 year plan I think they call it!! Fuck Levy and Lewis.Moura is class when he’s on his game, but as for him and everyone in the squad there is something fundamentally wrong within the camp..

See people are blaming Mourinho again. This place at times boggles the mind. I see posts like “atleast Poch did this, that etc”. Poch is gone, and for those who keep talking about him you must have forgotten how absolutely horrendous we were for the best part of a whole year under him. I love Poch for what he did but we were dreadful and he had to go.

Mourinho is here and we need to back him, he is getting our defence in order, 1 goal from open play in 3 matches (one against Liverpool) shows that we as a unit are getting stronger. Let’s give him time to make us a stronger unit and maybe, just maybe, give him a little slack now that our only fit striker (and one of the worlds best) is out for the entire fucking season.

Reminds me not to come to match day threads.

Didn't Jose basically confirm that N'dom would play a part tonight? Hope he hasn't got more fitness doubts.

Nah, who knows whether he will be ultimately good enough or not but just think the reality is currently that he's a (still relatively inexperienced) teenager who has moved to a big, top level club and is just feeling his way in to things and is doing the ultra safe. Confidence will only come with time and games and he realises what he can and cant do at this level.

What I will say though is that seeing him at Fulham and now for us I have always thought he is more of an 'off the ball' runner who has a bit of instinct to get into areas to be on the end of things, rather than someone who will drive past players with the ball at his feet. But again, that might come with time.

I think Mourinho got out of jail tonight. Whilst we weren’t playing particularly well, after Winks’ injury his decision to go 442 with Dier & Eriksen central and pushing Dele & GLC wide was utterly baffling and nearly cost us dearly.
Neither of those are in any way comfortable in those positions and to leave a Dier/Eriksen cm2 was a terrible decision.

Tactically that was very worrying.

I’m confused - your first reply you disagreed but this one kinda implies you agree a little bit haha!

Regardless, I do agree Lucas can be very good when he’s on his game. And IMO, his game is an impact player, off the bench for the last 20 mins. When he can run at tired defences. Okay so it may not be his fault that he starts as much as he does, given our squad situation but I do believe we can switch things about and not need to start him.

Just need wolves to drop points tomorrow and it would be a great week for us.
If your clinging on to the hope of other results then what have Tottenham become. No chance what’s so ever of champions league place extremely lucky for top 6 place. Have you not been watching the most exciting football which spurs have played for years. We didn’t deserve to win tonight. Let me refresh how amazing our results have been, Colchester (embarrassing) , Newcastle(loss),Watford (2 draws), Norwich(draw), Soton(loss) Sheffield Utd (draw) not forgetting the amazing loss at Brighton. You getting the picture Champions league winning infrastructure with championship winning mindset on the football field. Complete lack of investment on the football pitch will take us years to get where we were!!!!

Yet after the penalty they didn’t really have a chance and we looked more likely to get the second and third goal.
