Jose obviously watching different game to me...

Jose is here
“I think when we are playing very well we should score more goals and kill matches.”

Does he really think we played well at all in that game tonight? We were ok for bits and pieces of the first Hal,f but over all I thought we were pretty dreadful (barring GLC and to be fair Aurier)

How was that working when we are just working the ball in the centre of the field within the diamond but lacked any ideas at all to penetrate stiff block of defence?

At least we still have some crosses in now from Aurier and Sess is slowly joining in too. After Poch dropped the way of bombing FBs, we didn't even have any crosses in from them when we even have a Llorente to aim for. How was that an effective way in playing the diamond considering the personnel we've got are almost negated by that way of playing.

We were 2nd after the Xmas period last year and made a CL final beating Dortmund, City and Ajax along the way.

At our worst early this season we at least looked like scoring through game plan and not by accident.

Not blaming Mourinho (yet) but what little cohesion this group of players had under Poch has dissolved to a confused mess. Denying it is just shouting at fucking clouds mate.

It’s very worrying. Would much prefer it if Jose just went with kids and new buys but he seems to hate NDombele and Skipp and Parrot.

You were not Moura was a terrible footballer when he single handily got us to the champions league final!!!!
And this is why he doesn’t get as much stick as he should.

Fans still have the memory of the Ajax game and think he deserves a place in the team, on merit for that game.

Thats in the past- look at his performances this season, and especially in the last 10 or so games. Absolutely shocking.

I also believe he only got his new contract on merit for the Ajax game.

Signing a CDM & a Striker both have become equally as important what with Winks set for a lengthy spell out, i doubt well get both positions filled however, maybe Gedson will be getting more game time now

First 30 minutes was strong. I thought we were intense, quicker to the second ball and forced them back. Also felt Aurier and Sess were imposing themselves well. Winks was quicker with the ball and looking forward, whereas Lo Celso was sublime. With Kane on there I'm sure we'd have notched a couple.

Norwich adapted in the second half and started to get at us more, then Winks got injured. We didn't start the second half too well and then it became a bit of a mess, scrappy play, lack of structure, stupid decisions etc. Dier was no help in midfield, Eriksen sloppy, Sess started to become erratic, Jan getting stretched.

Lucas and Son continuously making the wrong decision or making weak passes.

We desperately need some control out on that pitch.

I do however see some aspects of what Jose is doing, it's just some of the tools are not useful for what he's trying to achieve. Aurier's improvement at least means we don't need to be desperate for a RB any longer. Hopefully we can get Ndombele fit and consistent and get a centre forward, otherwise we'll have more chaotic performances.

Difficult to watch.

I am sure Jose doesn't want us to play this way. The front three are just dreadful at the moment and the last passage between Son and Moura proves that. There appears to be no movement and no one willing to take a risk, which forces players like Lamela and Lo Celso to dwell on the ball and likley give possession away.

Lo Celso was fantastic. Make it permanent.

Sessegnon.... needs time but its a little concerning that Eriksen puts his body on the line more than Ryan does.

Lamela, Moura, Son, Alli (bar the goal) were poor.

Aurier was the pick of the defenders with Toby and Jan not doing much. Hope to see Sanchez playing ahead of Jan.

Looking forward to NDombele and GLC creating a connection going forward. At the moment, they are our only hope.

I think we're getting there but incredibly slowly.

No more vertonghen please, keep sess and lo celso, don't care how they play they need
the games.

Honestly eriksen at 30% is still our best midfielder.

I have my doubts over moura and Dele and when you add son you have 0 creativity.

Moura is an impact player and it's not surprising Dele is finding it hard without Kane.

Really find it staggering just what a mess we are maybe I expected more from us this season especially as we are current Audi cup holders, I thought this would be the year that more silverware would follow oh well. (y)

I certainly am not getting on his back. But at what point are we allowed to start being a little concerned by Jose's tactics. I still don't understand what we are playing or trying to play. And the Eriksen sub made no sense to me unless it was a publicity stunt. Saying that, obviously a lot of players are out of form and we need investment. I just feel we look as bad as we did with poch.

Parrot must have called Mourinho a w@nker or something at the training ground. For him not to be on the bench when we have no recognised striker or no.9 in the first team is absolutely scandalous. WTF

Real shame about Winks. Feel sorry for him and us as Dier has now moved up the order again.
