Welcome to the Spurs Vs Newcastle Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

This is probably the worst game to have after last night. Newcastle are a good side.

Hopefully we get some sort of reaction.

If we don't bounce back here, I've a feeling it's going go be a long hard season.

We're at home so its not that bad. As long as we play like we're the home side that is.

We are too good at home plus Newcastle won't be ultra defensive. This should be another home win

Kulusevski has to be back for this one... he can be a surprise element and an injection of energy... I'm not that worried that we won't be up for it... we just need more than Kane/Son at the moment...

And all the sloppiness needs to be cut away... we are making a lot of mistakes at the moment.

Whenever we’ve had a poor result under Conte I think we’ve nearly always bounced back really well and I hope and expect this to be the case on Sunday.

This will be our toughest home game yet. Lucky for us, Isak and ASM are out. And they have already hinted at rotation due to the midweek game.

We should beat them but it will be a very tough watch I think.

Looks like they might be missing Joelinton as well - if so that's arguably 3 of their 5 best players, which can only help us on Sunday

Even with injuries I can just see Newcastle being massively up for this game. We really should be looking at 3 points but I still feel so deflated after Wednesday. Hopefully the lads come out fighting after what was honestly one of the worst performances I've witnessed as a Spurs fan if you take expectation in to account.

Hope we see Deki, getting a bit worried that he still hasn't made the bench.

We rode our luck at times v Everton and Leicester at home so we really need to be at our absolute best. Newcastle press high up the pitch so we can't be faffing about between the back 3 and Hugo while they're tough to break down. We have to actually try and go at them vs. sitting back and inviting them on (again). We have the attackers to do this. Hope Deki is back....

It'll be down to whether Newcastle are able to take advantage of the control we'll likely give him.

Given some key players of theirs are out, I'd say we can squeak by with a narrow win.

I would love to see us a bit more front foot, in their faces, and creating chances early on.

Guimaraes is the one I’m most wary of, with the amount of shots on goal we allow. He’s a really good player that our midfield will need to nullify.

Our home form gives us a reason to be positive, although that display on Wednesday was so bad.

Can't believe I feel nervous for a game like this.

How can we possibly think of winning trophies when the general consensus is that Newcastle have a massive chance here, at our place!

Not as confident as I should be and I am starting to slowly get Mourinho vibes. I honestly don't know what the answer is... If Conte can't do it, then fuck knows who will.

For me, the nervousness is around how much of an effect Wednesday night will have. Are we going to recover or is this the start of a downward spiral.

We need to see a reaction in order to continue the good start (results-wise) to the season.
