WTF is Roy Keane on about, arrogance from Spurs?! How is it arrogant to try and play in a certain way. Div.
Lol, he's a prick. When we played negatively they said we lack initiative. When we play with some swagger they said we are arrogant.

I swear one day we will drink their salty tears with joy.

Regardless of who he is up against, it’s more of the same concerns that fans developed last season. He’s noticeably slower and now seems almost always reluctant to take on his man.

He needs to hug the touchline in this Ange system and, if he has lost his pace and his ability (or confidence) to run at defenders, I don’t see how he personally fits.

Try him up front and if that doesn’t work then…🤷🏻‍♂️
Weird as today I thought Son looked like he was back to looking quick and direct again.

Priority 1. Imperious CB. move Romero out to the right side.
Priority 2 - wingers that can deliver better balls or someone who can get open in the box. Love Richy but he is struggling to find space and some of that is on him.

He's far from hopeless. He needs.more service for a.start. doesn't help having Kulu and Son not finding their feet yet.

What would Any striker do with no service? Drop back to lick up the ball?

I think it just needs more time to click. Already looks better than Vs Brentford.
I take your point that he’s not receiving adequate service but he’s also doing nothing for the wingers. The ball is bouncing off him like a beach ball every time he receives it.

Wouldn't mind Solomon to come in for Richy so Son can move in field as CF. But also badly want Richy to score one to get his confidence flowing. He's so devoid of it atm..

There has to come a time where we give someone else a try there, not sure how long we can persist with him up front.

I'm not that impressed.

Porro looks utterly lost and the distribution amongst the defence has been shoddy.

Sarr works hard but not much else , and Maddison and Bissouma have to get in the game more although the latter was better

Kulu did ok but man do we need someone who can go either way , he's all left foot and it's so obvious.

Son has been poor too, still playing like last year

Richarlison oh Richarlison. Years ago I braved going to spurs on my own (I was like 14)and saw Jason Dozzell put in a performance so bad I remember it to this day . Thats what Richarlison reminds me of today. Stay on your feet, win a few 50/50's and make yourself effective. Right now he is a passenger

Its not perfect but the pleasing thing for me is that you can see how the formation and style of play works and how it can cause a lot of problems for the opposition. You can also see the weaknesses in high line defence. Think we will just get better with time and games.
The thing is, will Ange tweak the system to suit his current players, or be dogmatic, like our previous managers?

Look, it doesn't have to be Scarlett, just whoever our next best available striker is.

It's stupid to not have a single striker on the bench. We already know Richarlison isn't working and hasn't been working for 12 months now. Not to mention, we trained the entire pre-season with a completely different type of striker.
It doesn't matter whether it's Parrott, Scarlett, or even one of the younger guys like Jamie Donley. We should have at least one other striking option.
Son can play as a forward and.had done. I don't disagree.that it would be beneficial.tl have other options, however. Especially for that position.

Richy had a lot of injuries and played as a wide.player last 12 months. This is a whole new system.

Ange has said, repeatedly, that it will take.time

Still think Rich needs better service and many other better strikers wouldn't be impressing given how ineffective our wingers have been.

I think if Perisic and Solomon were playing Rich would look better.

Onana having a good game, will take a special goal to beat him. He Could be one of the signings of the season.

I like Keane but wanky thing to see....then he says we are there for the taking. Hope we smash them.

Romero is great but I agree we need another CB. Agree on wide forwards too.

But we desperately need a top centre forward. Richarlison just isn't going to cut it there.
