Agreed. That and not finding Werner. Felt wasteful at times and a missed opportunity.

Yes, they're not on the same wavelength as Werner yet which is understandable. He takes up good positions though and times his runs pretty well so I'm sure it will click sooner or later.

He means he was weak for the goal specifically, and maybe he was, but "weakness" is irrelevant; that's a foul on Vic given the standards football has laid down for years. Allowing it is inconsistency.
Perhaps that should have been specified in his post then. Leaves it open to interpretation otherwise. Anyway that aside yes I agree he was obstructed.

Just have to accept that City were excellent tonight, really really good. We did fine I thought, defended excellently but lacked a cutting edge.

City were really good but our decision making and final balls were terrible. The intensity was poor and when we did get the ball we either hung on to it for an eternity or over hit/put the ball into no man’s land.

They were a different level and pressed us so well. Just no creativity in the team to get on the front foot.

You didn't but anytime the performance is not a 10/10 you have the need to be really negative and OTT.

"Shambolic"? Really?
I haven’t used the word “shambolic” once tonight, so I’m assuming you’ve confused me with somebody else?

And apologies for voicing my opinion on a public forum. If you want to see the positives (beyond the defending, which I said was good) in a home performance where we created one effort on goal across 100 minutes of football, then be my guest.

Still missing a core. I’m a bit pissed off so trying to excuse the performance.
Not only that but a player whose coming back from an acl, a key playmaker just back to the bench. 2 CBs back from months out

Those injuries across the pitch need to get back up to rhythm of matches.

Not excuses but it all adds up.

We really needed a kinder draw at this stage. We kept them at bay for a good while but didn't have enough to threaten the other end.

Gutted cos the way Ange has had us playing meant I thought we could have a real go at the cup this year

Those City subs particularly De Bruyne were the difference. Their strength in depth is ridiculous, could see those were the aces they had from the beginning and the fact we were outplayed doesn't help. Playing out from the back is great but at crucial times it seems sucidal if players like Hojbjerg tire.

Another trophyless season is so gutting and could have done with a lower level team at home in all honesty. One consolation is at least Spurs haven't got 150+ financial charges piled up against them. The Citeh fans best do the Poznan then lol.

Although I do realise Joe Lewis's trading is one best to look away from as well. It's a murky world when football and money collide. Still us fans will keep living in hope for silverware just another year that it slides away - crap.
8 points behind Pool. Is that too much?

Kulu - played like he had 20kg tied to his back. Heavy touch , bad passes. Did not play like a 8 should.
Johnson - Once again didnt put the body on the line. Should have done better against Ortega on that chance
Hojbjerg - Sell please
Porro - His worst offensive game all season. Had sooooo many chances in first 60-70min to play the ball behind City backline. Every time, mistimed or mispassed his passes. Just a off day for him.

Overall, Son would have made us more threatening. Even Sarr could have made huge differnce in middle of the park

Things have changed. They seem to give these goals now. The goal against Burnley was more of a foul than ours. All Vic needs to do is put his shoulder into Dias as the ball is kicked. Will knock him off balance. They will never give a pen. Alternatively put a defender in front of Dias.
Best team won . Our forward line just not up to it. For some reason we never used Werner.
Maddison never got a kick, is he really fit.

Sorry but you are the most pathetic poster on match days.

Proper irritating. ALways OTT
You may not like his posting style on Match Threads generally and that maybe perfectly understandable but in fairness he’s not a million miles off on this post imvho. 😊

I’m trying to shrug off my disappointment so COYS !! 💙😄

They looked like a team who'd had a good rest and were raring to go. Thought we did really well to stay with them for so long tbh.
