So... Been in a German bierhaus all afternoon and evening, completely ignoring football. How'd we do performance wise despite the result?

And no, I can't be fucked reading back through the thread.

Did much better in the second half and could have scored a goal or two.

Before the game I was so sure we would lose that I didn’t care but now I’m fuming, how can we miss this many chances and chances to counter attacks??!!! We should’ve won the game and can only blame ourselves. I actually hate Liverpool, don’t get me wrong they’re the best team in the world but they have been lucky in so many games

Anyways Tanganga a big positive today, has to play more now. Also at least we created chances, upcoming games we have to be clinical

We move COYS

Probably our best half of the season. 9 out of 10 times we get a result there.

Thought Mourinho largely got the tactics right considering we have a skeleton crew at FB, CM, and striker at the moment. But we need to sell Eriksen so he can never play him again.

Never enjoy losing but this game has made me a bit more positive for the rest of the seasons. We actually looked better defensively today and actually made a few passes on the ground in midfield.

Seriously? Were you watching since the 65th minute?

We were much better after the subs came on.
Engaged Liverpool a lot more, battled much harder and who'd of thought it - we starred causing them problems.

Intensity is a massive problem that needs addressing but Lamela and Lo Celso bring that plus their respective quality.
You misunderstand.
In the last few minutes, when there's nothing to lose, we were passing it around the back really slowly and jogging the ball forward.
Infuriating last five.

Who cares if it goes 2-0 fucking go for it, throw men forward!

we’ve played well. First time I’m fully behind Mourinho and his tactics so far.
Yep, seems like it’s going to take a bit of time for Jose to mould this team but I’m pretty pleased with that, we nullified the best team in the world and if we’d taken our chances we’d have got at least a point there with a vastly inferior team so have to be positive about that.

it certainly worked better than the 4-5-1 with Eriksen RM that poch served up away at Anfield where we could’ve lost 5/6-0.

our squad needs some tidying up and improving. Erisken & jan perhaps moving on, we’ve sorted tobys contract, mabye Rose will move on, we need 4-5 quality signings between now and start of next season and get our best players back fit especially Ndombele and then we will be far better than this mess of a season.

Highlight for me was Eriksen being booed off the pitch. It’s about time people realised he has tactically fucked the club with his contract and now couldn’t be fucking arsed to put in a performance for a stadium full of people who have loved him for nearly 7 years. Absolute dickhead.

Oh ffs putting the right starting lineup is part of the tactics. Stop saying Mourinho got the tactics right. We were completely dominated for 70 minutes until he actually changed the tactic

Fair play to them all, they tried but if you can't score the things you create are you ever really in a game.

On some level the Mourinho tactics worked but it is a massive problem for him that we look instant better when we abandon his philosophy.

We did ok but at the end it turned out that Bruce Willis was actually a ghost all along.

No more Vertonghen, no more Eriksen, no more Rose....
Alot of positives, a glimpse of the future,
A few signings, ndombele, Davies and we will hopefully turn the corner

That was actually decent. Delusions of grandeur won't take us far. With tactics from the middle ages and such an unbalanced and unsettled squad, not to mention the injuries, we have to be satisfied with narrow losses to the top teams.

Once Lamela and Lo Celso came on, we looked a lot more promising - sounds like this has been said before. I am starting to believe that Eriksen's future is having a big detrimental effect on the team. He should never be anywhere near the first team and, if I were Levy - i'd be looking to take £10m to get him out of this club this window. I will also say that I don't believe Alli has a future at this club and would not be too bothered to sell him either. Tanganga, though - take a bow son, you played bloody well and for the most part, was composed. He needs more games under his belt - a big future at this club I feel.

EDIT - I should also add that we should most def get rid of toxic Rose.
