They are all talking about ifs, buts and maybes. It's all about what actually happens. Does my head in, there always has to be a slight against our performances.
I felt the commentary was making slight, negative comments towards us all night. Bringing up Evertons beating us to help Leicester win the league, etc, etc. Barely had a good word to say and when they do it feels begrudgingly.
The media hate Spurs. Its why Kane gets mentioned about a move more than any other player at any other club has ever. They fkin hate that he's at Spurs.
Fuck 'em.

Got to say if you think the match thread is hard to read sometimes don't go looking on twitter at some of the absolute bellends from other teams saying Kane dived for the penalty. Every post read killed another brain cell. :banghead:

Haven’t seen the incident yet but listening to Chris Sutton on 606 claiming that Kane is the biggest diver in the premier league. Really is quite astonishing the lengths sports “presenters” will go nowadays to get an audience.

PEH is probably having the best season of his career on current form and trajectory. Long may that continue. We seem to have a solid midfield in tact again, with options to play different players and numbers in there. Probably the best since Poch's heyday. It really is the basis for success, and PEH's contributions in attack are making a key difference.

That first half was horrific.
Second half half was so much better
Nonsense. The first half was solid, controlled and dominant, against opponents determined to defend deep with 9-10 men. Other than their two first-half chances on the break, we ran the match from start to finish, including the first half.

In the second half, we got more space and eventually the change of formation cemented our total control of the match, leading to the first goal and Everton's complete ineffectiveness thereafter.

We wouldn't have been there, had we not suppressed Everton territorially throughout the first half.

Surely Nick Pope is the one we want? Have been impressed with him.
I used to think that but having seen his recent England outing he makes Hugo's footwork look like prime Messi.

One of the one's on my list was whatever the name of the English keeper was that was stuck as De Geas understudy for yonks.

Do you want to know why you know it’s definitely a penalty? Pickford is the whiniest goalkeeper in the league. He went up to speak to the ref twice for free kicks way up the pitch. Look at his reaction after Kane falls over, he knows he fucked up and doesn’t say a thing.

If you need to send something to Arsenal fans, here is the camera angle.

^ I'm still annoyed that one we should've had vs Newcastle wasn't given and it was worse than that ^

Lampard giving an honest interview.

Q Were you hard done by there?

A I don't know about that. Spurs are a great team.

Q What about the pen?

A Didn't see it but Harry is clever and if there was contact then it's a pen.
Lol at managers pushing this line. It's such bollocks - they have pitch side monitors with assistant coaches microscopically investigating every single second of matchplay ???

Spence?.
I sneezed and missed it.
They played the first half
as if they'd snatch yer hand off
for a narrow loss.

Conte has a game plan and it’s working and the players are obviously playing for him.
So don’t take this as an entitled fans criticism of our current success.

Im just really not enjoying the football - despite it being mostly effective - and it’s caused a huge disconnect with the team just purely because I’m not enjoying watching us most of the time (could only see about 50 mins today tbf)

Same. I'm happy we are picking up points, I think we are lucky to have Conte.. But I hate watching us and it's mostly really boring.

I enjoyed the match today

the first 1/2 we Played with good control against a team with 11 Players behind the ball. They had 2 1/2 Chances which the snatched at because they are average players.
We controlled the play although we did not create many gilt edged chances due to their stifling tactics.
In the second 1/2 we increased the tempo more and completely dominated the game. The penalty rubber stamped this and from then on there was only one winner. At 1-0 it would have been an almighty balls up to concede because they he nothing to offer.

I think we were probably much more comfortable than a typical fan would have felt at the time. I was still nervous but only because of the fear of what could happen and certainly not from what was actually occurring on the pitch.

I think this might be why Conte was so pumped, both when congratulating the players he subbed off and at the final whistle. I reckon he got more of what he wants to see today than in any other game.

Obviously that's pure SC style guesswork but you never know.........:D

Just like Roy Keane, Sutton just gets paid very well to be a dick and to wind people up and he's very good at it. I could do his job for half the money.

It's just a shame the media has to use idiots like him to attract an audience.

He was knackered from the warm up (we were right behind him). No way he should be anywhere near our team.

That is just a fitness thing. Easily fixed. I'm not up on keepers tbh but I know we aren't spending the money required to get an Alisson.
