It's a shame a certain CM was wasted at Liverpool recently, as he seemed back to form in his old side today.
He was played out of position there, which is strange since they fought so hard to get him, I mean Allen played AM for Swansea but he didnt trust him there for Liverpool and played Sahin there, Mourinho even said he was struggling with his pace since his injury and the loan was to get him back to his best, so why he played Sahin there is beyond me. I mean has 50 yard Gerrard, Allen or Henderson played like Sahin did 1.5 seasons ago recently or for the latter two ever! It's a shame a certain CM was wasted at Liverpool recently, as he seemed back to form in his old side today.
Another one I've touted elsewhere around here is Felipe Anderson.
I think he'll be the next big, young Brazilian name that a lot of the bigger clubs will want.
Can play RW/LW/AM/CM and I just think he's a fantastic talent.
Turns 20 in April, but with his turn of pace, dribbling, shot, and strength on the ball, I think he's going to turn into a a real player.
I think that's the wrong place for it as many, like me, don't go there. How about we give it a go in here ? Any gems for us from the Bundesliga or elsewhere ?
I guess I'll "pimp" Badelj here too then:
rabona at 1:22-1:25.
How much did Hamburg buy him for ?
If you had to pick one of Badelj or Kovacic who would it be ?
Hamburg got him for 4.5m euros, but he was in the last year of his deal. His value on transfermarkt is already up to 7.5m.
They are different players, and I really like them both, but Kovacic is the "star" out of the two.
Badelj is the type of player who might not be fully appreciated by some people. Does a lot of things that might go unnoticed to the casual viewer. Similar to Modric in some regards. Very good in build-up play. Has a real calming class about him. I often use the word "elegant" to describe his play.
Kovacic has more things about him that make you take notice. Has the ability to take the ball and go on a slalom run. And he's still only 18-years-old, whereas Badelj is already 23. Can't wait to see how he develops.
Badelj had to go to HSV to prove he can do it in a better league, at a higher tempo. It didn't take him long at all to put that talk to rest, but there were doubters. Kovacic, on the other hand, will move to a big club with big expectations. It's just a matter of when.
Another case of Levy going to Zagreb and not leaving without buying his man ?
Million dollar question, is Kovacic better than Modric was at the same age ?
I'm sure levy would love something like that, so its odd to me that we don't seem to have an extensive scouting networkThis guy would be my top signing.

It's obvious we need to be buying players before they become world class but our scouting network looks utter garbage compared to Porto's in that regard. Look at their current team, after selling Falcao and Hulk, and in addition to Moutinho they have James Rodriguez and now Jackson Martinez is banging them in. Before this batch they had the likes of Lissandro Lopez, they are a production line of world class talent. So lets spend our money on hiring Antonio Henrique to do the same for us.
To those who say we can't buy like them because of work permit issues the answer is simple buy the players and loan them to leagues like Portugal where they can play, get experience, international caps etc so that when ready they can get the work permit.
We might not have the riches of Chelski or Citeh but we can blow Porto out of the water so we could buy any of the players they are after in South America.
Luke Shaw,a 17 year old left back at Southampton looks a player.....................the last LB we bought from them didn't turn out too bad.
