Dele Alli stats for first 50 PL games versus other attacking midfielders

Dele - 16 goals 10 assists
Scholes - 16 goals 3 assists
Gerrard - 2 goals 3 assists
Lampard - 5 goals 2 assists

Overrated mate!
That's seriously impressive.

He only cost 5 mill, he's better than Özil...

Fantastic player and gets far too much stick from our supporters in my opinion, think about how young he is now in comparison to those players as well.

R.E. the red card. Remind 1st pulls Dele back outside wich the ref plays an advantage, he then stumbles into Dele inside the box trying to stop him scoring.

This is what Mike yiddo Dean saw

Mike Dean is my favourite ref, I am normally against corruption but it is a thing of beauty watching a fellow yiddo sharing in the excitement of a great victory like he does.

He kicked it up with his boot
Yeah I know that, but that wasn't the reason the turf crumpled up under the ball is it?
The area around the penalty spot had been returfed, and it hadn't rooted properly....bloody impressive from Van Dijk if he managed to pull that off though ;)

I can't easily find a statistic for how long their first 50 matches took, but Scholes was 19 when he started his first Premiership match. Gerrard was 18 and Lampard was 17. So their ages were very similar, for the purpose of the comparison.

Fair enough but still, it's impressive either way and I still think he gets far too much stick from our supporters at times, a young english lad with the same amount of goals as scholes and more assists, that is nothing to be sniffed at.

Surely no true Tranmere fan would admit it.

How good was Henry Winter's research before he wrote his report in this morning's Times. Here are some quotes.

"Walker and Vertonghen are now suspended for Sunday's match with Watford at White Hart Lane."
"Spurs arrived determined to improve their poor record on the road, losing at Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and Anfield and drawing at the Emirates in their previous four away games in the Premier League"
He later, again mentions "Sunday's home match with Watford."

Whilst not life threatening mistakes, it is his job to be a bit more accurate.

To be fair, a lot of blokes are pissed over these few weeks.

I thought it was (obviously) a very good win. During the game, the comments in this thread in no way accurately reflect what's actually happening on the pitch so lurking in here for an idea as to how we're playing is a complete waste of time. The over exaggeration is astonishing. The standard every performance is judged by is 'perfect' anything less and we seem to be 'shit'. Going a goal down results in a sudden switching on of a curious kind of cyber depression and we're 'boring' or 'lacking creativity' yet one of the commentators said we've the second most chances created (or shots) in the league.

I'm pretty sure the number of people who actually know what they are talking about in here is very very low and i'm double sure that every person reading this will think they are one of Churchill's "few" :D

You're like the bar owner who complains about the fact that his customers regularly show up to his place wanting to drink.

Son's doing well, and Sissoko is picking up, but Lamela is another level.
When he's on form yeah, but lets not pretend he brings that every game. History tells us he'll come back on the bench and will have to win his place back, theres a few players that just walk back in but he hasnt been one of them.

The drinking' not the problem, it's when they start whingeing that it doesn't taste as good as they expected it to.
