So, it seems like Tevez is looking to get out of Man City - guess with so many big money grabbing ego's, it's finally got to him!! lol

But the question is, do you think he would come to Spurs!!??

.......Or should i say, can we afford him??

Its pretty certain that Keano is a goner come Jan - but just imagine him being replaced by Tevez!!

(Ok ok! I know that Man City probably wouldn't want to sell to us anyway, but i can dream right?? :)

Wants to be with his Family more. I know we are closer to Argentina than Manchester, but i dont think its a big enough difference.

Also have you heard what his wage is?

No effin chance. He's on close to two hundred grand a week, hates England and wants to get away.

They won't want to sell him. They especially won't want to sell him to us. They'll expect us to buy out the remainder of his contract, plus a hugely inflated pricetag.

Levy will not pay over the odds for anyone and, combined with wage demands and the complications always involved with Tevez transfers (agents?) i doubt we'll see anything like an interest from us.

Shame, he's a hard worker and would surely enjoy good service from Bale, Modric, Hudd & Lennon, but too much luggage.

Zimmy - the point i'm trying to make is that we should actively be looking to try and secure a player/striker of this calibre!

I know we already have good strikers in the team and they've been amazing so far, but we can already see what's happened with the impact of a real world-class player in the form of VDV, so someone like Tevez could only enhance the team further!

.....i know the chances of us landing him are slim to nil, but we should be trying nevetheless!

Good thread or bad thread, the truth is, it would be amazing to have someone like Tevez in the team!

No, and no we couldn't / shouldn't.
Rodney Marsh said on R5 earlier that he was on £286k a week (after tax) at City.

I heard he is on £205,000 a week, would he take a £130,000 pay cut to join us ?

He'll either be loaned to Argentina or end up at Real Madrid. Just have a feeling.

We haven't got a chance.

Would Real Madrid want him? I'm not too sure. If they do, then we should go all out for Benzema.

If they dont, I cant think of any club in the world who would match the wages Citeh are paying him. And by that token I think we're not that bad an option for him.

Also, I can't think of a club more capable of reigniting his love for the game than ours. We're ambitious and on the periphery of achieving something special. And we're fun and a close-knit family type club where the players really seem to bond and enjoy themselves.

I know that signing Tevez would be great, but moving the new stadium to Buenos Aires seems a bit extreme.

Not in a million years but we can dream...we would win the League with him up top.

This isn't about getting a new contract and more money, it isn't Rooney mark 2.

The guy has been making these noises for a while and if City arn't careful, despite being in a poweful position, Tevez might just not bother with them at all. How many of their goals has he scored?

I see this causing them real problems, and they wont replace him in January if he does leave or doesn't play.

Real madrid are after a striker this window but this was before Benzema scored a hat trick

Like I said before IMO tevez wants to leave because of mancini tactics and man management, look how bellamy who was a friend was forced out the club even though he was one of the best players for man city last season.

He enjoyed his football under Hughes, whereas mancini plays negatively and tevez has continuously criticised the players and saying he wants to retire

So the fact that says he wants to retire just tells me he isn't fussed about money especially since if he goes back to argentina he wont need the extra money he supposedly wants

So if I was harry I would just try and sell him the dream
Telling him we can win the league with him being the star.
