A game of two halves. We do this all the time.

One consolation is that the same same players who were crap in the first half, showed that they could out play wolves in the second, before any subs were made.

Perisic my MOTM

Perisic MOM. Kulusevski a close second.

Nobody was poor in the second half, but I am choosing to erase the first half from memory.

Perisic, but we could have and maybe should have lost that game if Wolves had better finishing first half.

If we want to keep top 4 this season we have to boss these games. Wolves looked like the home team first half

Great three points however!!!

Perisic for me. Son's been off the boil recently. I'd rather Richarlison start the next game to give him a breather.

Perisic easily MOTM. First half, Davies took too much space on the flanks, rendering Perisic useless. In the 2nd half, Davies played deeper, and thats where Perisic took control. Classy player.

Sanchez a close 2nd. Proud of him.

Perisic MOTM comfortably. Bentancur was everywhere and Kulu had a terrific second half.

Sanchez did a lot of good work, Dier and Davies ok defensively but in possession were poor. Emerson put In a good effort and much better with him and Kulu combining well.

Bentancur put in a shift after giving ball away couple of times early on, second half he pressed and passed well. PEH was terrible in first half and improved in second with couple of nice contributions late on.

All of the front 3 were poor and ponderous in the first half. Kulu had a terrific second half and Kane does what Kane does. Son is badly out of sorts and three shockers on the trot now.

Ricarlison a bundle of fight and energy with a bit of quality. Sess did what needed of him.

Shocking first half lacking urgency, much improved second with a much higher tempo.

Agreed. I was pleased that we managed to increase the tempo of the game and score without making any subs.

First half: all a 3 except for Hugo who gets a 6 because he actually had very little to do.

Second half ratings only.

Hugo: 6. Barely had a save to make. Commanded his troops well in injury time.

Royal: 7. Linking up with Kulu really well and more involved going forward. Defended really well.

Sanchez: 6. Still makes me nervous when the ball is going to him, struggled with progressing the ball forward for us. Evident how much we missed Romero there. Hardly put a foot wrong defensively in the second half though.

Dier: 7. Usual self. Commanding the back lime well. Handles Jimenez well when he came on.

Davies: 7. Much better at moving the ball forward. Linked up well with Perisic too. Defensively couldn't fault him.

Perisic: 8. Outstanding. How he managed to get a few of those crosses into the box from where he did was ridiculous. What a footballer we have. Only gripe was when he cut in on his right and didn't shoot.

Hojbjerg and Bentancur: 7. So much more composure in the second half and passed a lot better. Kept the ball better.

Son: 4. He's not on it at all. Something isn't right. Needs to come on as a sub next week.

Kane: 7. Great second half, movement brilliant for the goal. Still not 100% at it but an 80% Kane is still a great footballer.

Kulu: 8. Drove us forward. Deserved more for his performance. Love this kid.

Richy: 7. Same as last week. Upped the intensity for us. Drove us forward well. Worked hard over on the left with Sess to stop Traore.

Sess: 6.5. Could have had an assist with a better final ball. Made some good runs in behind. Clearly learning a hell of a lot from Perisic already.

I didnt think anybody played bad at all but I dont think anybody was great either, for me this was a performance where the tactical structure deserves credit as I think it was what kept Wolves out.

Sanchez for me. We looked very solid defensively and he was at the heart of that.

apparently we haven’t conceded for the last 7 and a half hours he’s been on the pitch.

Perišić, Kane, Kulusevski, Højbjerg, Bentancur fantastic. Son only player below par. No standout defender, but as a unit defended fantastically. Ivan my choice for his quality added on top of the hard work. Honorable mention to Gianni Vio.

Oh and speaking of underrated- Dier continues to lead the back line with aplomb. Just a great leader back there quietly going about his business

Perisic MOTM.

Kulusevski immense in the second half. Should have had at least two assist.

Davinson best of the back three.
