From the starting eleven, only vorm and rose get a 7.

The others all 5 except for walker and paulinho who get 3.

Has to be Paulinho for MotM, with a performance that will inspire millions of children across the world to think "if that useless piece of shit can carve out a career as a Premier League footballer, I sure as hell can too."

Our second half back five were all decent, Dier the best for me. Front six were all completely insipid and lifeless.

rose i guess. diabolical all around. pochettino perhaps the worst offender for starting paulinho and leaving him on the whole game somehow.

Vorm 7 - Did well with what came his way, but distribution not very good. Too many hoofs. Equal blame to back 6 for not giving him options though.
Walker 5 - Nothing special then injured
Chiriches 6.5 - Not so bad, had to play out of position half the game
Dier 6 - Decent
Rose 7.5 - Always getting forward, too rarely found. Woeful shots but he was one player that was clearly trying.
Bentaleb 5 - No impact
Mason 4.5 - Negative impact
Chadli 5 - Bad again, starting spot in jeopardy. I'd give Andros or Erik a look.
Eriksen 6 - Dangerous, but not consistently involved.
Paulinho 2 - Didn't realize he was playing for about 40 minutes. When I did realize it was because of mistakes. I don't even care if we get a fee for him, leaving is the best move for everyone.
Kane 5 - Not involved. No service, but not particularly good when he did get the ball.

Davies 6.5 - Out of position, not exploited much
Lamela 6 - Had energy but not much happening
Andros - Not sure if he got a touch honestly

Poch 1 - Set up conservatively which can be questioned but is defensible. Didn't try to change what clearly wasn't working, which is inexcusable. We played like a draw was a good result when it is barely better than a loss in our position.

All in all, the team showed that it was only the fans who hadn't given up on top 4. Their season is done.

Vorm 6 - very good save from Ings but a bit flappy at corners... being Bridget the Midget doesn't help
LOL - 4 - close the door behind you
Chiriches 6 - decent enough game
Dier 6 - as per Chiriches
Rose 5 - defended reasonably well but poor passing and wayward shots when in advanced positions
Mason 4 - lacklustre, poor passing and bullied off the ball
Bentaleb 4 - as per Mason
Eriksen 4 - generally MIA, poor set pieces and blazed a half decent chance over the bar
LOL mk2 3 - anonymous and his attempted pass/shot late on was comical
Chadli 3 - waste of space, offered nothing going forward
Kane 4 - no service but when he did receive the ball he was often offside

subs:

Davies 6 - slotted in well at centre back
Lamela 6 - didn't create much but showed energy and enthusiasm, something everyone else lacked
Townsend 4 - did he even touch the ball after coming on

Poch 0 - pathetic team selection, poor subs and zero tactics

I gave it to Chiriches. He did ok at both CB & RB when he had to switch. For a player who has hardly featured this season to come in to the team and do a decent job in both positions that is commendable. Rose and Dier did ok too but they are regulars. Special mention for Paulinho who took a rare opportunity to impress like a man on a hot date rubbing shit in his hair.

I'll give it to Vlad because he was neat and tidy and did his job.

Vorm, Dier. Rose and Davies all did OK.

In front of them was a complete non-event. Lethargic, pedestrian dross that made a very average Burnley side look 10x better than they are. Disappointing doesn't even begin to come close.

Dier MOTM for me and I thought Chiriches played well. Davies looked decent at CB apart from one sloppy header at the end.

I was most impressed with Burnley, they really should be staying up if they can get draws against Us and Chelsea, and beat City.

With the exception of Walker, the defenders and Vorm were OK.

The midfield were awful and created nothing.

Kane had no service but wasted any crumbs (possession) that fell his way.

I don't understand the thinking in not starting Lamela again. Dembele too given the opposition, he's extremely frustrating but would have won a lot of free kicks today.

We desperately need one of three behind to Kane to make runs off the ball (or at least threaten to). On paper this should be Chadli but he doesn't do it.

Not a lot of positives from this game but

- We kept a clean sheet
- 2nd half we had two twenty one year olds (Dier and Davies) as CB's who looked generally in control. Dier now seems a regular starter which is way better than I had hoped for at the start of the season, Davies playing well at CB for the first time is somrthing nice to find in the squad.
- Rose and Chirches did fine at FB's as well, I was nervous with Chirches at CB, but bar a couple of errors he was ok.

Otherwise we seemed to struggle with a sightly different formation, Paulhino reminded me why I want to sell him in the TW, but generally we created little,

Disappointing but Burnley beat Man City and Southampton at Turf Morr and drew with Chelsea, so a draw here is not totally unexpected, its just a shame we didn't seem to have the playersto give it a real go today

Yep pretty much as most have said. The second half back four + Vorm were ok, albeit we do have a lot of work to do in challenging for the aerial ball and the second ball.

All the attacking players on show were just insipid. No energy, no spark, nothing.

The biggest positive is we won't have to go back to the hole in the earth that is Burnley for a while

Vlad for MOTM as he came back in from the wilderness and looked ok. But it's a bit like being employee of the month in an ice cream van

Funny how we kept a clean sheet without Vertonghen. I thought Davies at CB competed well much better than I've ever seen from Vertonghen.

I don't think anyone was at fault or awful, it's the team as a functioning system that sucks..

It's functioned 3 or 4 times but mostly it looks like this with static movement, no pressing or work rate, bad organisation, no real attacking system

Everybody off form, sloppy and without threat. Still Dembele and Lamela don't get more than 20 minutes between them week after week.

Why start Eriksen on the right? What is the point of a Paul?

Walker is a comical person. Just bring on Yedlin next game and see.

The voice of reason, as usual. I was pleasantly surprised by Davies at CB.
But the manager is more interested in his "philosophy" than winning games. He said so after the game. Another thing-can we get a translator for this guy? He is getting away with it by not justifying his selections and tactics. He was asked point blank why he did not start AT and fuck knows what his reply meant. Neither Soldado or Ade will be at the club next season so why pick non goal scoring Soldado in front of goal scoring Ade as a sub?
And because it goes against his "philosophy" 4-4-2 is not even considered as an option. We have gone out of the top 4 race with a whimper not a bang.
