Really hope we are reading too much into the Aurier celebration.
Pretty sure he’s cupped his ears before when he’s scored as in a go on let’s hear it kind of thing, the spit could’ve just been an emotional reaction or something he does (disgusting whilst it is) and if he said fuck off I’m hoping it was to the press and not our fans. I know we’ve been a little critical of him on here and generally rightly so but don’t remember ever hearing anyone booing him etc so bit odd if he’s reacted like that to our fans tbh.

Either way he’s on fire under Jose so if he can keep this up he can celebrate however the fuck he likes. ivanovic got 6 goals under Jose playing the exact same advanced RB role so let’s see where Aurier can take this form.

Consistency is his biggest issue. However, IF he can keep this level of performance on a consistent basis, we can move RB down the list of priorities.

Actually looked like a quality RB over the last 2 games, long may it continue.

His goal tonight was a thing of beauty

I've given this guy pelters but fair do's, last 2 games done well. Just needs to keep it up. Some reason he looks more comfortable in what he is asked to do in the last 2 games under Mourinho. Don't think he is the type of fullback where you can ask him to go forcing the issue up the field like Poch wants his fullbacks to. More he is there to back up the forward play if the time and space presents itself.

I suspect if he carries on from Saturday for the test of the season he'll be a slow burner just like Sissoko was.

Some people have their biases against him for a plethora of reasons.

you are a funny one eh? Cos we’ve spoken about this before. I still stand by my early season quote of Serge being our best RB, faults and all.. He makes you bang your head, he makes you wish he wasn’t playing, he makes you wish he didn’t jump in to tackles.. But... He’s still our best RB in the squad. I’m not saying, as I never was, that he can’t be improved upon, but he is actually the best we have. Good luck to him, and for all of us fans, I hope his form continues.

Cool, did you mean to quote me?

Not that Poch didn't try, but you can clearly see Jose is trying to increase his in game intelligence. He has become so much more comfortable and assured in his position these last 2 games.

I know it's been said a few times (Cliche) but he really did hit that shot like it shagged his wife. I'm surprised the side netting could handle that force it was a real peach of a half volley.

May this good form continue.

I agree he has looked much better the last two games although he needed sissoko to come on last night to help him out defensively. There was one occasion deep in the second half when he was out of position and was jogging back so moussa had to fill in but apart from that he was solid.

Will be interesting to see him up against the speed of bournemouth’s attack on Saturday. That will be a real test for him.

Must admit my first thought when I saw the celebration was it was like he was having ago at the fans.. Surprised I’m away no media have picked up on it.

anyway the positives have been his performance in the past two games. Long May they continue.

Only he will know what his celebration is about, and I for one have been one of his biggest critics in the past due to his inconsistency and multiple brainfarts, that said I'm not one to slate a player from the stands.....which is more than can be said for a section of fans in Park Lane last night! Even after his goal the vitriol he was receiving from the crowd was hard to hear. Some people, no matter what is happening in front of their eyes choose their scapegoat and blindly stick with that opinion no matter what! Ironic when it's probably the same fans moaning that Poch was too stubborn to change things despite what was happening on the pitch.

I would not blame him for letting out a bit of aggression in the celebration after some of the abuse aimed his way!
