True but let's hope he's able to put a consistent run together now under Jose, everyone gets a clean slate from now on so I'm going to forget about the past and look forward.
I’ve always thought there’s a top full back in there waiting to get out if he could just improve mentally. I thought it was right in Poch’s wheelhouse to make a top defender out of him but it never quite happened

Kind of feel like this is a new beginning for our players.

At the beginning of last season there were a few decent performances by Aurier then he went downhill quickly.

He put in a good performance on Saturday. Very interested to see if he can continue.

Possibly his best game for us, was solid and didn't make any of those daft brain fails he often makes. Totally deserved his goal. Don't want to presume too much but possibly down to Jose simplifying the fullbacks expectations

Imperious tonight...stayed on his feet which helps him massively he will always have that rush of blood in him but aslong as its the exception rather than the norm he can be one hell of an effective fullback.

Going forward he is good. His defending is what worries me. Good tonight.

Lets give credit where it's due - Serge here had started to show signs of being a bit more than we'd seen so far under Poch, he'd had a couple of brilliant games for us before Poch left but, being the fickle fuckers we are, the minute he had a goofy half an hour he was public enemy number 1 again. Lets see how it goes - two games in a row he's looked mustard but it's two games in a row.

Love his spirit, he's a fun player to have, but he still doesn't seem to be a great judge of when to pile in and had me wincing three or four times as he went to ground tonight. Work in progress but looking brilliant right now.

Do we read anything into his celebration there?

Made a beeline to the fans, put his fingers in his ears, spat in the direction of fans and shouted something (which a few people, not just myself, think is “fuck off”).

I don’t blame him personally, fans have been ****s to him but I’m not sure it was entirely necessary...

Much better from him in the last two games but the problem is, you know a very bad game is just around the corner.

I highly doubt he intentionally spat into the crowd or said fuck off

I'm holding back on the superlatives on this one.

He's shown before he can put in a blinder one game and next maraud around like a fucking blue arse fly getting turned inside out.

Consistency is what I want to see from him - if he can find that under Jose, then I'll be more than happy.
