We need to get used to this. They were saying that 3 weeks is the bare minimum for a proper pre season to be actually safe. In germany injuries were up 250%.

By the time we play our match against Man Utd, won’t the squad will have been training for more than 4 weeks?

I remember a few saying he played DM for Betis. I think he would be wasted there but its a problem position for us and it means we can have dele and ndombele in CM

This isnt a bad front 6

Lo Celso
Dele Ndombele
Son Kane Bergwijn

Also although Son is better from the left he has a powerful left foot shot so can cut in from right

Shouldn't be completely dismissed. What does Winks have that lo celso doesn't in that position?
Winks is good in big games huh? o_O

Well I agree - nothing on him :)

And that front 6 looks sexy, but it will never work as we have zero defensive support.

We tried that against Norwich earlier this game which was a fun game to watch, but we were all over the place

I think something like this would work better:

Lo Celso-Skipp/New DM
Bergwijn-Ndombele-Son
Kane
IMO Lo Celso has actually looked best as the more attacking member of a midfield 2 (ala Modric). This way he's constantly on the ball and involved in our buildup but also capable of popping up in attacking areas and making runs from deep.

This also takes the defensive pressure off Ndombele, although he'd still be able to comfortably drop into a 3 and be a bit more of a defensive presence than say, Alli, in that position.

We can then have Alli, Lamela, Fernandes and Sissoko in rotation with Bergwijn and Ndombele.

So ally covering all bases then. Plus if he is injured it makes no sense for his reason that ndombele will play more advanced. In fact it's more likely the opposite
Spot on the more I read golds stuff the more I find he actually knows very little and Is mainly click bait and his own opinions

GLC is an 8 or a 10, no way is he a 6. Besides that, he'd be wasted back there and that's kind of why he never looked his best at PSG. At Betis he came alive when given license to influence the game from further forward.

We have used him as an 8 which is more than likely going to be his position with us so him being injured if true definitely isn’t a reason for playing ndombele in the 10 role if anything dele potentially being suspended would be the reason to that

Sounds like we will be without him for a while. Torn hamstring apparently and looking at 3 months out, dont shoot the messenger. I hope its not the case

If nobody credible backs up Lo Celso story today I’d say it’s BS after 48-72 hours of a rumour. As far as I can see this all came from that jules bloke not a single credible or tbh uncredible source has backed it up, not a single media outlet has said a word.

That's what I thought as Gio doesn't play the no 10 role for us, he sits deeper in the midfield 2 or 3.

He's just fishing for clicks and leaving it open to interpretation, most of our fans are gullible and fear the worst and immediately buy into it like the mugs we are.

His latest post was perfect for him, gets people hooked asking question and needing info but still kept his track record for news clear by saying how keen he is to stress he's not heard anything. Gets the clicks and keeps that credibility for info.
