His IG has not been updated since 21st May. Ally Gold knows I reckon, that's why he was a bumbling mess about the topic in his video. Time to accept he is out for the season and hopefully he will be fit in time for the start of next season.

Such a shame but we are kind of loaded in that we have other options such as Lamela, Dele and Sissoko back too.

None of whom are sadly in the same class.

Shit luck if true, but if you always rely on one player so heavily then you risk getting burned.

But its hard not to when the player is really good. Every team in every sport relies on one or two players

I feel we rely on GLC, Kane and Son. If all 3 are on the pitch we have a good chance

Have they even been on the pitch together in the premier league? Can't have for long

Actually a joke if true. Honestly must of been about 18 months since we put out our strongest starting 11

Spot on the more I read golds stuff the more I find he actually knows very little and Is mainly click bait and his own opinions
He was still posting about Poch preparing for the next game the day before he was sacked.

He reports what the club tell him to report.

It might be a blessing in disguise having Gio get injured. It’s a bummer, but I really don’t think we’re good enough to get 5th, and even if we did, you just know City would win their case.

Him being out might just hand Ndombele the chance to play regularly and find his form. Then next season we can bring in a proper DM and unleash both of them together in a proper midfield three.

I honestly don't see how having one of your best players out is blessing in disguise TBH, Ndombele if he finds his form would play alongside Gio anyway.

Dafuq with all these injuries.

Always seem to have a key player missing. Oh for the days of being able to field our strongest eleven for a run of games.

Slightly over the top. For all the promise Lo Celso has shown he has yet to score a single goal or provide 1 assist in the PL.

Yeah fair enough, but no matter how much you rate him the point is so far this season we are completely bereft of a spark without him. Like we were before when Eriksen wasn’t playing. Luckily for us Eriksen barely missed a game for us in 5 years.

I agree with you I don't think we are good enough for 5th, as for city I can't see them getting much of a ban, it will probably be deferred, in any case it won't stop them just like it hasn't stopped Chelsea.

Points to a problem in the squad that still needs to be addressed: A second reliable playmaker.

Poch wanted an Eriksen deputy for years and never truly got one. We chased after Barkley and passed up on him because of his hamstring issue (in hindsight, a good decision), then the following summer missed out on Grealish thanks to Levy's brinkmanship (in hindsight, a disaster). With Eriksen having one foot out the door we were strongly linked with Coutinho, Bruno Fernandes, and Dybala despite having brought in GLC. It's obvious that Poch saw our total reliance on one solitary playmaker as a significant shortcoming, and that he was never satisfied with that part of the squad.

Unfortunately we now find ourselves needing to address a long list of positions in the midst of the biggest financial crisis the club has faced in recent memory. Standing still for two windows has absolutely fucked us.
