If we let this guy go, i'll go from being optimistic about what Mourinho can do here, to full on wanting him out.

I wouldn’t go that far, but I do find it odd considering it seems clear to my eyes that we have generally improved as a team when he has come off the bench.

Having said that, if there really isn’t much money to invest ( both in Jan and then next summer) then I could why Jose would want to focus on the areas he feels he needs to get the team and squad to his liking.

Unfortunately this is always an issue when you bring in a new manager. You can’t expect them to always be on the same page when it comes to players at the club or long term targets. And it would be the same if we had brought in another manager other than Jose.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player so one footed. It’s quite unbelievable that he’s been allowed to develop as a footballer playing solely with only his left foot. If he had any inclination to use his right foot it’s possible he might of scored on Saturday.

Have you not watched Lamela play? :ROFLMAO:

The old 'left-footed players can't use their right foot' castigation.

We have several players who're clearly not ambipedal, yet the problem is only highlighted with those stronger on their left.

It's a thing with some lefties in particular, Rivaldo and Denilson (the one who was at Betis, not the former Arsenal DM) spring to mind. Somehow their brains are wired in such a way that they cannot do anything with their wrong foot. It's incredible that you can reach professional levels with only one foot.

Not its not, its just an extremely lazy observation that NEVER gets mentioned for right footed players

Dele is almost as bad.

I love when people bring out the "he only uses one foot" argument aimed at left footed players. It's like an optical illusion for some people as this rarely gets pointed out for right footed players. Dele literally never uses his left foot, nobody mentions it.

Anyway, I want to see Lo Celso playing in the middle. Not of the wing, seems like José doesnt fancy him there at all which is really annoying.

And so it begins.
2 years about to be wasted with Mourhino.
New Mourhino I've changed BS.
If your not going to get the cheque book out why bother appointing Mourinho?

Hang on, are we blaming Mourinho or Levy?

There may be another reason why we haven't 'converted' the loan yet. Betis desperately need the money and DL, by some accounts is still trying to renegotiate the deal to buy him now. The longer we leave it and exert pressure, the greater the chances of reducing the fee - perhaps quite significantly. He could take this down to the wire in January and simply trigger the final payment if he fails to secure any discount. Just a thought.

If JM wants any more signings this window, and Levy seemingly after loans, we will have to make this permanent. We’d be stupid to lose him.

If that's the case, he just can't help himself, can he?
He signed an agreement. Why does he need to renegotiate what was agreed?? I know, he's saving us some money. But these kind of moves usually come back to bite us in the ass

Because he’s Daniel Levy. He can’t help himself.

I understand what you are saying. That said, it would be great for the club to mitigate the risk of purchase by reducing the fee for a player. It may seem crass, but DL is a businessman and will always try and secure the best deal possible - even if that means upsetting those he is dealing with.

Betis are not in a strong position here, they really need the money and after already spending the money they had believed they had secured from us on other players, do not want to have to go through the bother of having to seek a new buyer...that introduces a whole new level of risk.

Like it or not, any further reduction in the fee will allow us to potentially spend elsewhere. It is not uncommon either - we reworked a deal for Bale with Saints to give them more upfront for a lessening on the sell-on fee...such a move saved us tens of millions - literally.
