People have amnesia levels of memory on how we actually built the squad we’ve got.

Personally I’d rather continue doing it our way rather than acting like Everton for example.

I think most people would agree with you. The cause for angst is that the era for say Jan, Toby, Rose and Eriksen is almost closed. It's also fast approaching for Son, Kane, Hugo + Poch in the sense that will they stick around if they don't feel their ambitions are being matched?

I'm no Levy hater or apologist, but I can appreciate him putting the club's financial health above all! It's just a tough pill to swallow when all reports paint a picture of it raining money with in the club, but only one new first team addition in 1.5 yrs. Before anyone points it out...of course very few us have a clue what is really happening in the club.

Everton could have a front 3 of Kean, Zaha and Richardson with Gylfi behind them next season. They keep throwing money at it and will eventually get it right - the manager is bobbins though.

We simply should be identifying and adding 2 players each summer that can come in and compete for a first team spot plus 1 youngster for the future. We should ship out the retirees, the injured and the contract rebels. Levy has left us short over many summers and we will get to a point where we need to find 4/5 top quality players in a summer which will be A) beyond our realms financially B) idiotic and crazy for squad integration.

Anyone who genuinely believes we will sign 3 or 4 players in the next 3 days is smoking crack....

But apparently we have already signed Sessignon but won't go public yet as a possible PR execise on the last day so is two possible?

3 days left in the window and the papers and information is more quiet than it has been for the last 3 months - very odd.

I would love to be proved wrong, of course I would, but we have all read the final chapter of this book before....I said a while back I thought we would get Sess on DD and that would be it...

Is two possible? I genuinely doubt it is.

I was expecting a flurry of media reports today but it has been quiet. Tbh I am fully expecting Sessegnon and one of BF or GLC with Eriksen departing either on Thursday or before the end of the month abroad. Not ideal as I feel we need both BF and GLC if Eriksen leaves but bearable until Jan.

I wouldn’t hold out for January- it didn’t happen last season when we were creaking

agreed, very odd that it seems to be quiet across the board . The Sky report about Sess today which is all good and well but 3 days from the deadline & its silent regarding our biggest targets, GLC/BF/Dybala
