You're not being naive- it could be any number of reasons. My guess is that Betis know how desperate we are to sign him and so over the course of the window as their own financial health has gradually improved they have asked for more money or better payment terms from us (more upfront etc). The suggestion that we wait Betis out I think doesn't apply- they will want even more money as time goes on because they know how desperate we are and they have less need to sell.

Thing is there is no need to be desperate. There are other players out there. Lo Celso, is not everything. As was mentioned, we should have walked some time ago. They can come back later, but I'd just walk. Go all in for Fernandes and one other if Eriksen leaves and that is a decent window.

Well don't you know its never Levy fault. All the other club are mean towards us. Look betis transferred players to other clubs but are mean towards us. What can levy do its the same all the time in all TWs. I think the only person to blame is Poch. WHy does he demand specific players to be signed. Why don't he accept 4th or 5th choice players. LO celso should have been signed long ago.
