Looks like he’s going to get another La Liga winners medal, even if he leaves in Jan.

I mean, he's potentially the difference between top 4 and not getting top 4.

However I don't see him being someone Conte would be able to accommodate.

If he was someone he could see working then it's a no brainer. Goals and assists galore, and we know he can play with Kane and/or Sonny.

I'd love him back again in all honesty. It was disappointing he never got to play in front of a home crowd last season. Imagine the roar greeting him, cheering a goal.

Hell yes bring him back. The easiest way for us to replace Bale's goals is to bring back Bale.

Would really help us not lose anything going forward is we had to rest one or even two of Son/Kane/Lucas.

6 month loan with contract option in the summer.

Makes little sense to me. He hasn't played in a while and given how long he took to get up to speed last time it barely seems worth it on a 6 month loan. Plus last time he was given a lot of Europa League games to get his fitness up, but would Conte give him those minutes in crucial league games? Unlikely. If he could start where he left off last season then it's a no-brainer but I can't see that happening.

Did he ever reveal what he was going to do at the end of the season which would’ve “caused chaos” if he’d told people while he was still at Spurs? Feels like nothing ever came of that.

You mean your mind wasn't blown by him returning to Real, as per his contract?! Seems like a bit of attention-seeking. Can't see why he'd be so vague and dramatic otherwise

I always assumed the “cause chaos” comment was with regards going back to Real and that their fans wouldn’t be happy, also at that stage Zidane hadn’t formally resigned and there was no talk of Ancelotti returning either.

Bring him home. Even if not 100% fit, even if a little bit prone to injuries, even if, even if etc etc...

He still showed under Jose he was great off the bench, great around the club, good for morale, good for younger players to look up to and learn from. Imagine he'd be better under AC too.

Shouldn't be like Ronaldo at Juve or Utd tho, changing the team for 1 player and stunting the growth of others.

If this was an option it would be nearly signed right now, and Bale would be here at the start of January.

Given that it does not appear close -it’s a hard pass for me. It will take him a good 4 weeks to get up to fitness levels that Conte demands. That leaves about 2.5 months for a huge investment.

Now, if wants to terminate his RM contract, and then sign an 18-month deal here, and Conte wants him, than we can talk. (If Wales do not qualify for Qatar, I assume he retires after this season.)

Would just want him back so we can have that moment when he takes to the pitch for the first time in front of a full house. Such a shame we didn't get that opportunity last year.

Was totally on board with bringing him back as i assume Conte would be able to figure out how to fit a player of his talent into a system of play that takes advantage of his skillset. And then you write this. Makes good sense that if there aren't rumblings, then it isn't close.

Where you may be mistaken is his ability to contribute while he gets up to speed. I suspect that he could still cause quite a bit of damage with 30 minute cameos especially against park the bus type teams. No one had a better goals per minute ratio in the EPL last season with as little as he played. He may have fallen off but he still is far better in a part time role than even our beloved Stevie.

We made the salary work last time.

He has only appeared in 3 league games for Real this season. If they aren’t going to play him then saving on a portion of his salary is their best option, unless someone puts in an actual transfer fee for him and pays his wages which is very unlikely.

We could make a half season loan happen.

Newcastle surely giving him a call.
