Shame because Nuno's style of play looks perfect for him.

I'm actually not so sure to be honest. I don't know if it was simply a choice on our part for us to not have him back to me I'm not sure Bale fits the 'hustle and bustle', all-energy application Nuno wants from the players.

Now I'm not saying he couldn't come and be very useful to us at all, I could just understand if Nuno said he would want to move on from him.

Only way he'd still be of use for us is if Harry Kane wasn't here. Can't have two players that doesn't run and press intensively.
Nuno's game will depend on fitness, energy and hard work. It looked good on paper to have Sheringham, Poyet, Anderton and Redknapp in the line up as well, but you need to have legs.

From what I've seen so far the front players are dropping in and filling gaps. They are not pressing neither are they tracking back like under Jose.

That aligned with the forward players staying high and narrow and playing on the counter with pace makes me think Bale would do very well.

Exactly. We're leaving the three up top which would have worked perfectly for Gareth as he didn't have to be a full back like with Jose

That's true to be honest, with that in mind I do see what you mean. I'm just dubious with Bale really as even last season I think there were a couple of games (away ones I think) where I really don't think he put himself about near enough, even if Jose's tactics were off.

Would love him here, with back 3 and Royal being solid defensively we could work with his lack of defensive work.

Seeing all the vertical running from our front 3 and wing backs any time we won the ball yesterday, Bale could definitely come back and play anywhere across that front 3.

He’s been transfer listed since 2018, that’s not the problem. The problem is he gets paid the GDP of Luxembourg every week.
We made the salary work last time.

He has only appeared in 3 league games for Real this season. If they aren’t going to play him then saving on a portion of his salary is their best option, unless someone puts in an actual transfer fee for him and pays his wages which is very unlikely.

We could make a half season loan happen.

Was very strange that we didn't renew the loan to begin with, guess Real couldn't make their minds up on him

Yeah it seemed like Real wanted him back but I couldn’t work out why. He has barely played for them this season.
