I am happy to keep Forster as the back-up keeper. But we need someone who is going to step in as the number 1 next season.
That’s not really what we did with Lloris, he just didn’t go straight in because Friedel was in solid form and had the record for consecutive PL games so dropping him was more consequential than it would have otherwise been. Lloris was the expected starter and playing every match by November.Would be happy for Forster to be #1 moving into the 2023/24 season.
Providing we sign a younger keeper with a view to them transitioning into the #1 the following season.
Much like we did with Lloris.
And doesn't look like he's got a sore-foot when distributing. LLoris strikes the ball like he's wearing flip-flops.I've got so much respect for Lloris and the service he's given us over the years as our club captain, however I really hope Forster keeps his starting position for the rest of the season. He's such a reliable calming presence behind our defence.
Assuming Hugo does leave, we're going to need another goalkeeper for sure. But in the event that a suitable one cannot be signed then having him as No1 for the season, whilst not ideal, wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. the other issue might be, that we need a number of players elsewhere on the pitch so keeping him on as No1 for a season could be seen by the club as a solution of sortsI am happy to keep Forster as the back-up keeper. But we need someone who is going to step in as the number 1 next season.
Genuinely one of the worst performances from a keeper I’ve ever seen in a shootout. Got done by feint about 4 times.Any danger of not flopping on the floor to your right like a salmon having a stroke on maybe just one of the 5 penalties wtf was that
