Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris has been given the opportunity to triple his current wages in Saudi Arabia as the Frenchman could be set to leave north London this summer.

The 36-year-old has one more year left on his contract after this season but the club have been planning for his successor after a dip in form and injuries which have forced Fraser Forster to see out the remainder of the campaign as Spurs' number one.

A Spurs great. Glad he lifted the world cup. Got to take the edge of the complete lack of success at the club. Something too many great players for us have experienced tbh.

So sad it had to end without seeing Hugo lift a trophy for us
Agree, but as a captain he could have as much responsibility as the rest over this 10 years to have led the team over and possibly win it for us. Who knows if we have another calmer keeper in big games or an outfield player more suited as captain we could have rode off some storms and win something. But anyway, I still respect his time with us and he's definitely a legend for me.

Bon chance Hugo. You've been a great servant to the club. Best goalie since Thorsvedt.
I love Erik and am proud to call him a colleague, but Hugo has been better than he was. Got to go back to Clemence and Jennings to find an era-defining keeper like him.

Wont go to Saudi, wasn't he openly against the Qatar WC because of human rights issues? Saudi is even worse

Edit: Actually seems I was wrong and he agreed with Fifa (lol) - on your bike then Hugo

A World Cup winning captain as our captain, might not happen again for a long time.

Yes I agree. I was just saying that he is our best goalie since the Viking not that Thorsvedt is better.

Is there better way to stand up to the Human rights issues than taking the money ?

It seems like It is the way!

I think Hugo is a good guy so I’m joking

Robbo was an excellent keeper for a few years....until suddenly he wasn't
So a bit like Hugo then.

Sorry to buck the trend but whilst totally respecting his service with the club, the last 5 years have been pretty inconsistent with his dodgy kicking and customary 4-5 howlers a season hence, I am struggling a bit with all the legend references

It doesn’t say he’s agreed, it says they will or may make him an offer.
