He is useful against fast attackers, he just struggles against aerial threats and strong forwards.

He’s always got a solid game in him but now he needs to start stringing 5 or 6 solid games in a row as he matures.

It wasn’t long ago people were calling for him to be sold and saying he would never be good enough. I doubt there are many saying that now - he’s been very solid recently. Mountain at the back and he will get even better.

Again one of those players that benefits from a solid back 4 that isn’t changed we have a defensive unit and that’s cool

Still remember his first season with us. His form has been a bit patchy, but since the restart he has been solid and his pace is an asset. If mourinho can bring best out of him and Dier, hopefully we can invest funds in new full backs rather than at CB.

He needs to perform consistently, bit I think he has been solid recently.

I never got the idea we should consider selling him. He is solid - maybe not spectacular but definitely good enough and he is still young enough to improve a lot.

I doubt many people will have changed their mind from a performance against a lacklustre Newcastle forward line.

Funny how a CB performs better when the team starts to defend better as a unit. What I've always liked about Sanchez is his excellent recovery pace. It's very valuable and sometimes means he shuts down situations that could have been one on ones without people even realising. For this reason I don't want to give up on him just yet.

He was superb that season he played regularly alongside Jan, hopefully we are seeing him hit that form again.

I do like this partnership - Toby and Sanchez. It’s harsh on Dier who, save for a few individual errors, has looked decent at CB, but I’d certainly keep these two in for the final games (think Dier is eligible for Palace?). Sanchez has used his speed well, particularly against Arsenal, and hasn’t really looked out of place. Long may it continue (y)
