I'll preface this by saying he's still young...

But I think we all expected he would be better than he's been showing at this point.

And he needs to bring back the mohawk & gain probably 15 pounds.

Still don’t see what others see in him. Big lad with some pace but really little else. Not strong in the tackle, poor in the air, and poor with his clearances.

Sanchez is the best defender at the club...The love affair with Toby is concerning his been on a decline since his contract issues

It's funny both Vertonghen's and Toby's legs went and both forms absolutely fell off a cliff yet Toby's decline is largely ignored.

Although he's still fairly competent, we all know it and Mourinho does too. That's why I think we'll go for a CB but if not then i'd rather Jose just gave Tanganga a lot more minutes to grow at CB.

Think we'll end up getting the South Korean CB.

Think we may have fallen into a bit of an elephant trap with Toby. We gave him a big contract so we wouldn't lose him for free, but his declining form seems to indicate we need to upgrade sooner rather than later but nobody will want to match what we're paying. He might turn it around I suppose but it hasn't worked out very well for us on current form IMO.

Sanchez and Dier should be our main partnership at least until another CB arrives.

Toby is the stand in guy for both - levels not as high and consistent as before.

Dier will be the vocal organiser

Would like Sanchez to improve on distribution and not just use body strength in defensive positions against opponents when unnecessary and has situations covered.

Sanchez really needs to step it up this season, between Toby and Dier and possibly Davies there's no real pace in there, Sanchez offers that but he needs to improve a little.
