Fella on TS just said no option to buy, and it's the same terms as the Everton deal was.

Frustrating if so, not a fan of loans without options.

I would be ok if we went for Danjuma as the cheaper option if we also went for a CB as well.

Porro, Danjuma and a CB would be a good Jan window.
A good window but also pretty much a bare minimum window IMO.

RWB and another attacking option were never up for debate. And the defense clearly needs an injection of a new player to get it back on track following some poor performances recently.

Danjuma is a very odd fit though isn't he?

He's a LW. And if a out of form Son isn't going to be dropped for our 60m left sided attacker in Richarlison, then I'm not sure where this guy fits.

All very odd IMO and makes very little sense.
The same left sided attacker who just have a very decent world cup playing as Brazil's no.9?

I'm not convinced Richarlison is best as a LW.

He's wrong, but then he's probably just reading off some aggregator nonsense on twitter.

And nor is Conte which is why Son hasn’t been dropped (in my opinion onions)

Maybe not. But that has been his position throughout his career.

I agree he can be a solid Kane alternative and if the worst happens at least we have someone that could attempt filling his boots. But he's not going to oust Kane is he?

He was bought as a Kane and Son rotation option and has been less than average on the right.

So with that I mind, I find the signing of Danjuma odd.

60m on a Kane alternative is an odd allocation of funds in that case.

Begs the question if Richarlison was indeed Conte's choice.

How many times has Richarlison played on the left for us? Can't be much at all.

I think we absolutely need legs up front imo. We're stuggling with 2 games a week and barely any rotation up top due to a mix of injuries and Conte perhaps being a bit stubborn.

Having someone quick and aggressive to improve our forward press when he plays, and allows Son to have a breather, could be super helpful.

Every time I watch us play we just seem to have a tired passiveness during the opponents build up.

We still need to get as RWB over the line, backup for Kulusevski and a CB ideally, but this doesn't mean this is a bad idea.
You are way too optimistic. Go support another club ?

Not every underwhelming, underperforming signing can be blamed on someone else. Behave!

Using that analysis then only perisic was a conte choice !

Interesting reports Re: Gil this morning that he could leave on loan.

I said this is the beginning of the year and it will probably bite me again - Kane, Kulu, Son, Richarlison, and Danjuma should be enough quality across the 3 positions on paper.

My only worries obviously lie with the amount of injuries we've racked up this year. One injury to that group and you're back to 1 on the bench. If I'm being selfish, I'd still be hoping for Zaniolo if Gil left or Gil to stay on for that last position. Let's see as always how it plays out and hope for injury luck lol

Richarlison was clearly bought in for a few reasons:

- Kane will need rotation/rest this season.
- Kane might get injured and we'd have no obvious replacement.
- Richarlison is versatile and can cover both LW and RW.
- Kane could very well leave is in the summer, it's better to have a ready to go PL experienced ST to replace him than having to sign one of those in the summer once he's gone.

We would be one injury away from only one on the bench, beyond that we would only have one left footed player in the squad. Also Richarlison really isn't good on the right at all and Danjuma has only played there 19 times his entire career. If Gil goes on loan we have to bring in a player that can comfortably play right wing unless we are planning to bring Lucas back into the team somehow. Otherwise the only plan i can see is playing Kulu into the ground and hoping he doesn't get injured.

Most of his career at Everton was from the left and he did enough there for us to spend all that cash on him. For me, Danjuma is somewhat of a carbon copy of Richarlison. I don't think we needed both. It's not like any manager is going to rotate Kane any time soon, so if Danjuma is going to sub for Son, Richarlison isn't going to be getting any more than the handful of minutes he's getting now. He's certainly not an option for the right side.
