They bypassed Tim for Hyppia to begin with. How can he go there after a cuss like that??

Tim would probably assume he would be getting the NUFC job anyways...

can you imagine that conversation between Ashley and Tim:

Tim: "right then....i can win with this team and really drive them forward"

Ashley: "very good"

Tim: "but we will have to sell these French lads for some British steel"

Ashley: "you realize these 'French lads' are cheaper than the English players"

Tim: "Well.....it's a question of ambition isn't it. You want titles no doubt"

Ashley: "U wot m8?....i want middle of the table, nothing more, nothing less." SIGH "Someone ring Moyes and see if he will leave Spain if we offer a 50 year contract"

Don't think so...didn't he come out saying that it wasn't right for either party????
On the Fantasy Football show he said he was offered it but rejected it. If they seem desperate and raise their salary offer, he'll take it.

Fucks sake. Dim's gonna fucking luck into the newcastle job and the fraud of him being a good manager will live on as he'll manage 12th place. Fuck off. Just fuck off.

So he was, my bad. He's an idiot for not taking it then. Will they offer again though...?

If Newcastle take Pulis, it could happen.
Depends. Remember that he was a better prospect coming fresh from a job here - his currency was much higher.

His managerial profile has now faded and the market dynamics are different and they might have different priorities.

They could be saying, "jesus, what the fuck were we thinking??"

We'll soon see, I suspose.

Always dissappointing when Warnock leaves the Prem.

I find the whining tit massively entertaining.

Can't see Pulis at Newcastle. Pulis likes to spend lots of money. With Pulis in charge Stoke's net spend was close to £80 million in 5 years! Only Chelsea and Man City had a higher net spend during that time.

I can't see Ashley spending that sort of money and I doubt Pulis can too.

Does pardew to palace make sense to anyone else? Why would he swap Newcastle for palace?

It would be heavily driven by his personal feelings i think....

Pardew is seen as a pseudo-cult hero/club legend at Palace after being a fairly key player on a team that won promotion into the First Division and then scored a winning goal against LFC in a FA Cup Semi. The folks at Palace love the guy. He has always spoken fondly of Palace and i think has even said in the past that he would love to manage them someday.

At NUFC he has been berated and had the supporters calling for his head for 2+ years. He doesn't seem to get a whole lot of say in his transfer activity and he is seemingly always on the chopping block....all this despite the fact that he seems to be doing exactly what Ashley wants by keeping NUFC safely in the middle of the table without spending a ransom of money and losing his best players more often than not....

If Pardew went to Palace i think he could actually work with what they have on hand and keep them up. Which, if he managed to keep them from being relegated, would essentially lift him to some odd Saint like level of standing in the eyes of the Palace supporters.....he would probably earn the same amount of money, the press would probably treat him fairly well (they already do to be fair) and give him a great deal of attention and the environment would probably be much more positive for him on a personal level.

Palace fans would love to get Pards and the NUFC supporters would love to get him the hell away from their club and would probably jump for joy if they were able to get Pulis as a replacement.
