from Honduras press

Wilson suffered a strain in the groin and was taken to a hospital
.
It is hoped the medical report which will determine the severity.
he left the game against Romania on a stretcher

EDIT: NOTW have got hold of it

WILSON PALACIOS was taken off on a stretcher during Honduras' friendly defeat to Romania.

The Tottenham midfielder is a hugely influential player for his country but there are serious doubts over his participation in the World Cup Finals.
It's understood Palacios has a serious hamstring injury and he left the field in a lot of pain.
Striker David Suazo was also withdrawn with a problem but his injury is believed to be less serious.
Daniel Niculae, Gheorghe Florescu and Mirel Radoi got the goals during Romania's 3-0 victory in the game in Austria.

Massive shame for him if he does miss the WC, but on purely selfish, Spurs driven terms I do hope he doesn't play carrying a groin injury only for him to aggravate it further, I'm no medical expert but groin injuries are buggers, and can drag along like we've seen with Woody.

Hopefully it's nothing much and he has a stormer of a WC for Honduras before coming back here for our Champions League season.

The groin bit comes from a Google translated Honduras site. I think the NOTW hamstring is more reliable.

SSN say it's a shin injury, he really deserved a WC after all his personal trauma, fingers crossed it's not serious!

So we're pretty certain it's a leg injury

Although seeing as a google translation from Honduran, SSN and the NOTW are our sources, it's probably a neck injury.

I agree, and speak from personal experience. I've got a groing injury I did about 8 years ago but carried on playing with for a at least a couple of months. Ended up having two months off footie and now it still just goes occasionally at random and probably will for ever.

Wilson getting a couple of months rest and coming back next season "right" would be a big silver lining.

I really wanted him to have a good World Cup.
I hope he an make it but it sounds doubtful.

Well hopefully it's just a niggle, or an impact injury, and with the sketchy news so far with every source listing a different part of the anatomy I won't speculate, but like you I think he's our most important player and want him fit and ready for the next season.

If he does play I will cringe every time he gets the ball and goes in for a tackle, but In an ideal world he plays, he plays well and he hits the new season running ready for some new blood in the Champions League.

I would hate for him to be out after the year he has had.

I mentioned it before, but imagine being the player in his opposite position thinking "Its only Honduras".

Wot ?...they flew him over the Pacific Ocean to check his shin Eek .

London's nearer .
Maybe I read it wrong, I assumed they must have been playing a friendly against Australia or something (or maybe SSN made the error, lets blame them )
