I'm going to see how the half time shenanigans pan out (apparently RHCP plan to perform Led Zeppelins "Dazed & Confused", which will either be very cool or very horrible), and give the second half a few plays, see what happens. Knowing my luck, if i go to bed, it'll be some epic come back with a hero ending.

How long's the half time show this time? Last couple of years, at half time, i wondered if the players were allowed to go back to their hotel rooms, have a shower, shit & a shave, hit the bar for a few drinks, maybe catch a film...

Must really put you off your game though, all that adrenaline and energy must just evaporate. Can't be easy to stay pumped for the second half at all.

TBF the entire thing is a bit of a farce (the NFL). It might just be me, but I really do think all the bullshit throughout the season (and the neverending ads) - especially around the superbowl - harms the game.

Oh, and not gone to bed yet, just stopped watching.

Not sure what team or year it was, but a few years ago one team's offense went something like a hour and 20 minutes without touching the ball due to the other team having a long drive before half time, the HT entertainment and the other team having a long drive to start the second half.

Not even Aaron Lennon goes that long without touching the ball.

half-time show used to be reserved for truly great acts (whether you like them or not, many had an aura about them)...he is just mediocre bland fare...at least red hot chilli peppers have come on to liven it up a bit
