He'd injured and Pochettino has given regular updates.

It's a hip injury with a slow healing process. He was also in Argentina because his brother was in hospital. Seriously, it hasn't gone quiet regarding him at all.

I was at my Brother's the other day and we were talking about Lamela. He'd heard a rumour that the hip injury was "career threatening."

I have my doubts on this as, if it was, I'm sure we'd have seen something on here about it.

So it isn't Spurs that's the problem its you. Plenty of people were nervous last night and for lots of games but they don't translate that into us being turgid or boring. Things just got a lot clearer. For you to 'enjoy' a game we need to be three goals up after fifteen minutes and score another every ten minutes or so. You can't take the uncertainty of sport :(

he is used to watching basketball where the ball hits the net a lot more often

From BBC:

Spurs haven't lost a Premier League London derby at White Hart Lane under Mauricio Pochettino (W8 D4 L0).

Didn't know that. Pretty impressive.

When asked about links with Barca he replies that he was “born with a bull in his arm” – a reference to his history with bitter rivals Espanyol, for whom he played before becoming their manager

Encouraging words as Enrique is coming under pressure
