Gomes 6

Corluka 6 - Lower mark as only played a half.
Gallas 6.5 - Very poor first half. Improved much in the second.
Dawson 6.5 - See Gallas rating.
BAE 9 - MotM. Absolutely fantastic tonight I thought.

VdV 8.5 - Very close to MotM. Welcome return to top form.
Hudd 6.5 - Goal saves him, very very poor first half, improved second half.
Modric 7 - Struggled in the first half with defensive duties. Grew into the game 2nd half
Bale 4 - Maybe harsh but Sagna had him in his pocket, kept cutting inside the whole time and Sagna was reading this with ease.

Pav 6.5 - Faded in 2nd half. Worked hard first half
Crouch 6.5 - Threat in the air but not infront of goal

Kaboul 6
Lennon 7
Sandro 6.5

Gomes 6.5 - some good save but a fair hairy moments too
BAE 9 - absolutely awesome. So many moments where he calmly dealt with the situation without needing to lose the ball. Great performance. MOM.
Dawson 7 a bit loose a couple of times, but a couple of excellent blocks.
Gallas 6.5 Did really well a lot of the time, especially fighting through the pain, but at fault for the third goal.
Corluka 7 was getting forward well and a great assist for the first goal. Not sure why he went off if he wasn't injured.
Bale 5 In Sagna's pocket until he went off.
Modric 7 another busy, skillful Modric performance.
Huddlestone 7 a few misplaced passes, but worked the ball back pretty well and scored a beauty, with a few great passes too.
VDV 8 worked incredibly hard, played some wonderful football, and scored 2. Great.
Pav 6.5 did ok, some good movement in the first half, tired.
Crouch 6.5 some good knock downs that weren't capitalised on, his usual hard working yet a little toothless self.

Lennon 7 made Sagna work far harder than Bale did, won a penalty then looked good on the other side after Pav went off.
Kaboul 6.5 Some great forward moves but a little dodgy positionally
Sandro NET

Great performance by both sides, the game was played at such a phenomenal pace it would be a shame to criticise anyone too much, both teams gave everything and though I wanted the win and think we just about shaded it in the second half, a draw was probably fair.

Gomes 5 - couple of good saves but generally poor
Corluka 6 - didn't do much wrong
(Kaboul) 5 - Great ball for Modders but poor going forward the rest of the time
Dawson 6 - mixture of good interceptions/mistakes
Gallas 6 - same as Dawson
BAE 8 - not a fan but dam did he play well tonight
Hudd 5 - great goal and improved 2nd half but SHOCKING prior to his goal
(Sandro) 6 - unlucky not to score, wish he started
Modric 7 - quality player, unlucky not to win it
Bale 6 - not the Bale that won the PFA but some decent runs, shame he got injured
VderVaart 8 - excellent performance .... wish he'd play like this every week. Instead of throwing tantrums, he let his football do the talking.
Lennon 6 - won the penalty but why does he keep cutting in field, grrr
Pava 6 - some nice touches and he ran around but still didn't do what he gets paid to do ... score goals
Crouch 6 - started well and some nice lay offs but a shocking miss and is about as deadly as a 3 year old with a soft toy.
Redknapp 3 - strange line up, odd subs (kaboul coming on, why? Sandro with 15 mins to go ... should've started, came on at ht)

Some of those ratings a dreadful. BAE actually played very well tonight and his ball for Lennon was excellent and you give him a 6.
I felt BAE played well. For me a 6 is a good performance. In the heat of 90 minutes like that there's always likely to be diverse ratings. My focus may have been on others. Personally I didn't think he or the team were outstanding. I may be wrong though and may have marked a little harshly (the team did very well to come back from 3-1). Anyway, it was a great game.

Here's how I see my ratings:
10 - Truly unbelievable performance!
9 - Outstanding
8 - Great
7 - Very Good
6 - Good
5 - Average
4 - Below Average
3 - Poor
2 - Very Poor
1 - Was he on the pitch?

I think the tactic set to give strikers real boost to perform better, yet they played another disappointing game, one decent effort from Pav but other than that ? he lost possession several times.

since i read team line-up, i was amazed that with imbalanced Midfield, it is nice that our opponent is Arsen Wenger, they give us the chance to back to the game, Sandro subs came to late, we dominated the game when he came.

whatever, Ekotto (MOTM) and VDV played excellent game, Hudd was poor in 1st half, Gallas could be questioned for their 1st goal but outsanding 2nd half despite the injury for about 35 mins, he deserves a real praise.

Gomes 6
- should be questioned again for their disallowed goal.
Corluka 6 - fought hard but the formation didn't help him
Gallas 7.5 - good game ! I'm in love with him !
Dawson 7 - did his job
Ekotto 9 - MOTM
Hudd 6.5 - poor 1st half, can't be questioned for being lost in 2nd half, the goal saved his rate
Modric 7 - tried his best, but i really don't like the fact to be used as CM in 4-4-2 !!
VDV 8.5 - one of his best, did everything for us today.
Bale 6.5 - worked hard, feel sorry and worried about his injury
Pav 5.5 - poor
Crouch 5.5 - same to Pav

Kaboul 7 - fought well
Lennon 7 - did well
Sandro 7 - give us the difference in last 15 mins.

Next season ? replace King & Woodgate with Free injruy CB plus top striker.

Gomes must be questioned for a disallowed goal??:duh:

It wasn't even a late flag.

What the actual fuck? He was faultless - a good a LB performance as you'll see.

I will definitely watch the game again and only watch BAE. I obviously had my blinkers on or was not paying enough attention which is always possible.

And, as I say, a 6 is good. Please don't be too upset with me!

Okay, I'll fess-up...I gave VDV MOM - funny, as everyine else says they gave it to BAE but VDV is ahead. Hard to give a reason, just that I gave them both 9 and it had to be one. VDV was excellent all over the pitch and coolness personified in front of goal, and that just tipped it for me.

Breathless game of football. End to end, we'll score more than you attitude from both teams, but highlighted by some really poor defending from both teams.

I thought we were set up all wrong in the first half. Neither Modric or Hudd were holding and it left the freedom of The Lane for Fabregas and Nasri to do as they pleased. Sandro should be starting every game.

Gomes - 5 - Typical Gomes. Some great saves, some daft punches and should have done better with Nasri's goal. Very lucky with The Rapists shot which he fannied in.

BAE - 9 - Didn't put a foot wrong. I hope these rumours of us being after Enrique from Newcastle are simply that, just rumours. He attacked with gusto, defended superbly. Love him.

Corluka - 6 - Offered more going forward than he did defending. His lack of pace scares me shitless.

Dawson - 5 first half, 8 second. Gobbled up all their punts upfield.

Gallas - 5 first half, 8 second. He's the Gomes of our defence. Loves the attention of struggling with injury.

Bale - 4 - Very poor.

VdV - 9 - Led from the front. Chased down everything and cooly finished twice. And people want us to get rid of him? Hahaha. VdV a luxury? It's the shit players who are a luxury. Extra point for nutmegging that **** Wilshere twice in 5 seconds.

Modric - 8 - Majestic. Shame he cant shoot.

Hudd - 6 - Started terribly, gave the ball away for their first. Stunning finish for the goal. He seems to take half hour to warm up into a game.

Pav/Crouch - 7 - Both worked their socks off and didn't get the chances.

Lennon - 7 - Always plays well in the big games.
Sandro - 7 - Could maybe should have won it for us.

Not sure whether to be happy or disappointed. We did enough second half to win it.

someone posted this in the match thread. ManU forum.

This season he has been class, tonight encapsulated his season, class, speed, technique, intelligence and technique.

I usually think he's ok, but tonight was a world class performance, what a fucking great game he had.

He was absolutely unbelievable today. One of the best performances I've seen from a left back in a very very very long time.

He was immense tonight.... One of Spurs best players, that cross to Crouch was amazing.

But brilliant tonight though eh cider? credit where it's due.

Outstanding performances from both Ekotto who was simply superb all night and Rafa VDV.
Loved the part when Rafa nutmegged Wellshite not once but twice and then laughed at him.

If people cant give BAE a 8/9 they need to watch the game again.

Pat on the back also goes to VDV, Modric and Gallas for playing through the pain barrier.

Bale should take note.

He might well of been injured. But IMO he's an absolute fanny.

Gary you seriously need to watch it again, a 6 is just plain wrong after a performance like that. In truth you shouldn't really need to re-watch...are you pissed?

Benny did play Walcoot onside by not being up with the rest of the defence, but apart from that he was pretty flawless, his use of the ball is so good, even his percentage balls usually find a Spurs man, if only we had one of these for the right...

Nice to see VDV back to his all action best, Bale seemed to by suffering from Player of the year syndrome.

couple of if only's at the end with Lennon's poor cut back and Sandro's self made chance, but happy with that after the start.
