I really dont know how to do this - some players were shocking in the first half, but brilliant in the second (Gallas, Dawson) and some players were brilliant in both (VDV, Modric and BAE.)


MOTM has to be VDV though. Didn't stop working from the first minute to the last. Showed why he should be on the pitch for the 90.

I'll do my ratings later...but Ekotto was my MOM, unbelievable performace. VDV a close second....who was superb, pitty he hadn't be playing like that more often lately.

BAE was amazing. Literally amazing.

VDV worked his socks off and Modders was class. BAEMOTM though.

Honourable mention to Gomes who made some important and quality saves despite clearly lacking confidence.

If we had a couple of decent strikers tonight, we'd have murdered the goons. We have an excellent team up to our front line, which is shocking. Just imagine where we would have been with two, pacy, strong and classy strikers...

Also Huddlestone played one very sloppy ball first half but other than that played fairly well over the 90mins and also scored not only an excellent goal but a crucial one to get just before half time, must be worth a 7 for that performance.
