Been rumours flying around earlier in September that Conte really likes Smalling and that Inter would entertain if the deal with Roma does not come to frution. DiMarzio has also said (a month back or so) that Inter did hold an interest.

Probably doesn't matter now but take it for what it is.

I really like Smalling and find it staggering that Manure with all their shite at the back are not using him.

Id take Smalling but I do think we need someone who is a warrior and someone who will just clear the ball and the man

If this was the case then we should pay whatever it takes to make it happen, could legitimately see us winning the league if we brought in both Eriksen and Srkiniar with the current set of players we have.

However i think the chance of this happening is less than zero.

People keep forgetting that we have absolutely no space for 2 more Non HG. And even less for a player in the Front 4. We are absolutely packed up front which is absolutely great.

Agree, but for Skriniar and Eriksen i think we would make the space.

But it's also why i can see validity in the Stones rumours today, as he can just come straight into the squad with no moving around of players required.

Feels like we've left an offer with Inter that is short of what they want but they may still accept it depending on whether or not they able to arrange deal(s) for incomings that fit in with the potential money from his sale. If that happens, I'd be confident of seeing him move to us but does feel as though it may be kind of late now for everything to fall in place and realistically we probably have to explore other options. Kind of relying on the club(s) Inter are looking to buy players from and falls more out of our hands.

Still wouldn't be surprised if something came of it late on but realistically probably looks like we'll be looking at another option and if not, think Mourinho may not be overly concerned with January not too far away anyway.
