Like but still think striker more important.

We have options at the back esp if Foyth doesnt go but no so much up front
I want a backup striker as much as anyone, but Skriniar is the signing that would really be a game changer for us. Realistically, the backup striker can be great or good and it won’t make a huge difference. Skriniar would come in and make an impact in our first team week in, week out. This would be an absolutely massive signing.

I totally agree with this.

I mean, I’ve never seen the guy play but I still totally agree with this.

Here is the full text now on Transfer Center:

For what it's worth Kaveh is possibly the bottom of the Sky Sports transfer tier.

I literally detest Kaveh Solhekol and Dharmesh Sheth both come across as such smug twats who seem to think that they are the kings of transfer window with contacts at every club. When in reality what they both come out with is 99% guesswork and utter bollocks or information recycled from other news outlets. Sooner Sky get rid of these two chuckle brothers the better!

Sorry rant over!

100% this. As much as we need a backup striker and really hope it happens sooner rather than later, Skriniar comes in and improves out first 11 straight away. This is how we’re going to compete with the best, by improving the starting 11 year on year

As has been pointed out on numerous occasions, Skriniar isn't slow.

No need to quote you on Baresi either. John Terry (spit) won 5 Premier League titles and 5 FA Cups while having medium pace at best. And he was considered to be one of the best PL defenders of his era.
For every John Terry there is a Michael Dawson. Pace is a vital component for most positions. Ask any CB what is the hardest thing to defend against...they’ll tell you pacey forwards running into space or playing on the shoulder.

Sky are laughable honestly. That news was posted by Sky Italy on Friday, and they’re sharing it today as if it adds some sort of negative spin to the deal.

I wonder how the better market on him moving to us changed with the news?

At this point in the window believing anything on sky isn’t advisable.

Come on mate, that’s pretty disrespectful to Daws. He was a solid pro for us for years. Importance of Pace in a CB really depends on playing style and tactics.

Michael Dawson was a very decent, much underrated defender.

But, he was slow. And from what I’ve read and heard, Skriniar is a level up from Daws - quicker and more technical. He was considered to be possibly the best CB in Serie A before Conte arrived at Inter. Put him in a low block, which nullifies the threat of pace, and he could be a brilliant buy for us.

I don’t think he was slow, it was the huge turning circle that was the problem. I loved Daws and he was a good defender for us. He rarely had a bad game and gave it his all. I would have peak Dawson in the team over Sanchez and Dier at the moment, that’s for sure.

Dawson was much better than you give him credit for and he always gave 100% for our club.

I absolutely love Michael Dawson and he loves our club too, just watch him whenever he’s a pundit covering our game.

I pray that one day he’ll comeback to us in some capacity. ?

Sky Sports saying we are interested in Rudiger. Really hope one of our ITKs comes and shuts that one down swiftly.

because chelsea and spurs do business with each other and a guy accusing our supporters of chanting racist things at him would probably love to join. Lyall is such a shit journalist.

Tbf they probably would sell him if they thought he was terrible. I'm sure Lampard would drive Kepa to Hotspur Way if he could :ROFLMAO:
