Or they’re just recognising that he did well compared to the person he replaced.gosh people wanting to give doherty a reprieve after an OK 30 minute cameo
You can’t have supported us very long.after 18 months of the worst footballing ability I have seen in a spurs shirt
As with most of that team that night, are you writing them all off?and a joke of performance 2 weeks ago in slovenia
Or we really just would rather see our players play well than not?we really have awfully low standards
One thing I like with Conte is that he seemingly tries to avoid putting square pegs in round holes.
Neither Doc or Sess are suited to play in a back-four, but are clearly a much better fit for the WB role.
Remains to be seen if they will be good enough, but at least this formation will play to their strengths.
Yeah I really don’t see where all this praise is coming from other than he wasn’t god awful which is our standard expectationGod our standards have dropped if you think he was very good
I said this before kick off yesterday when the teams were announced just because i believe he's more suited to the RWB role. You can imagine a few of the responses and disagrees i got.I’d definitely play him over Tanganga at right wing back, but looks like we need to prioritise another player in that position in January.
Oooof! ??I said

you can say he looked ok yesterday and may play a part for us in the next month while also thinking he still isn’t of the required level and needs to be replaced
these aren’t mutually exclusive. you don’t always have to be on one side or the other.
Exactly this!Oh I dunno, maybe people are happy that a player who has had a torrid time since joining us came on, played well, looked confident, was better than the guy he replaced, and contributed significantly to the build-up play for two goals.
At a guess.
Not sure it's a reprieve, but I think people just want Spurs to win games and if Doherty who is still a Spurs player starts playing better and contributing something then surely that is good. At the very least it'd maybe get us a buyer if he isn't a long term option. I thought he did well. Williams had the beating of Tanganga and Doherty handled him better (although Williams must have been gassed as he had looked really good earlier in the game).gosh people wanting to give doherty a reprieve after an OK 30 minute cameo (it really was average at best, just seemed better cos it was compared to doherty awful standards), after 18 months of the worst footballing ability I have seen in a spurs shirt, and a joke of performance 2 weeks ago in slovenia, we really have awfully low standards
Does anyone else think Conte could work his magic on this donkey?
No.Does anyone else think Conte could work his magic on this donkey?
Everyone should be getting a fresh start. If Conte thinks he can get a tune out of him then I trust him to know best.Does anyone else think Conte could work his magic on this donkey?
