Let's not forget how much of a thug Paul Scholes is but everyone just laughs and says he's just not a very good tackler.

Careful, now...criticising Slur Phallus, OT, MUFC, any of their players, their fans, and especially Paul Scholes's ability to make at least 5 yellow card offences per game and never be booked, is a hanging offenceEek

Doesn't anyone else see it?
I remember a game against us when he put 4 of our players at least 3 feet in the air with shocking tackles and wasn't booked.

He is probably a little past it but would be able to pass on a lot if knowledge to our midfield; also. It would be great to play him against teams like Newcastle and Stoke who do nothing but kickus as he would definently return the compliment

I don't want us to sign him. We can do better. He was a very good player, but his best days have gone.

But we've played those sides and beaten them both in style by simply outshining them and not needing any kind of thuggery.

Definite no for me. This guy is scum of the highest proportion. We're talking Ben Thatcher to the power of Joey Barton.

Its quite clear MVB would have his uses for tottenham. giving the team some gravitas, would be a fantastic person to play alongside modric and just amazing amounts of experience in big games.

I just think it would cause problems in the squad, i mean its not worth getting rid of Jenas or Palacios, who won't want to be 5th choice, because in 6-12 months time when father time catches up with van bommel and he cant play for us any more we'd have to sign another midfielder. just doesnt make logical sense because we'd effectively be getting one midfielder now and then have to buy another one in 12-18 months time.

Not sold on this one. Used to be a very good player but genuinely looks past it these days, seems to resort to hacking the opposition.

He's a dirty little so and so, but last season he was at the heart of teams that got to both the Champions League and World Cup final? He would definitely offer us leadership, skill and know how.

Skill? Come on, he's a prick. We need to think about who he will replace, hudd and luka are our first choice pairing and a very good one at that. I wouldnt want him to come in and disrupt that. We one is injured I don't mind having the others we have to be honest. They aren't the best but are good sub players. United have players like gibson who can come in, we have Wilson. It's fine. A utility player would be good and a left back but I still want a striker

Are you talking about someone being past it when they took part in both the World Cup and Champions League finals last year?

He must be doing something right.

Old news. Milan looks his destination where he & Ibra can kill each other and make the world a better place.

Just got sent off on his Milan debut, haha. You knew it was going to happen, especially in the Italian league.
