Ange’s embargoed quotes released and he absolutely secretly believes we are still in with a shout of winning this thing this year and why not hey!

Ange saying today in the presser “we are in the title race until we are not in it” and “why not believe we can win it, why limit ourselves or have fear of what we can achieve”. (Paraphrasing a bit)

Whether it’s this season or next or whenever, I think Ange will win us something big and his quotes will go down in Spurs history just like Bill Nic’s etc. He’s weaving himself into the fabric of our great club and I absolutely love it.
Give it 12 months, a bit of Levy time and he'll be "story of Tottenham, mate." :D

This season is shaping up the same way as the Leicester season, the favourites aren't quite at their best and it's anybody's to win. Normally I'd write us off but we could be the ones to pip the race based on momentum, no Europe or Carabao and feel good factor around the club. If we manage to stay relatively injury free from now until the end of the season, which is a big ask, then we have as good a chance as we ever have.

A world away from Mourinho with his 'Little Horse' comments and Conte with his 'challenge for what' rant.

Truly am loving Big Ange instead.

The man is a genuine No Bullshit Zone, so, so refreshing to hear no nonsense answers instead of the entitled BS from the (2) usual suspects! Such a breath of fresh air (y)
3. Poch spoke absolute nonsense in press conference too. Should have been called The Riddler.

Kind of but the big teams were all WAY off it that season whereas this season they’re just a bit under par but still putting up pretty strong points totals.

I think we’d need 85-90 pts to win it, roughly 14 wins 4 draws… very tough ask.

lol wtf is that bloke on about, as the tweet says Ange walked into a very toxic environment, protests against the chairman, fans utterly fed up and dejected, DoF just got a global ban, first season finishing out of Europe for many years, squad was a mess and our best goal scorer ever wanted to leave and Ange has flipped all of that to a positive.

That being said Ten Haag started off ok at Man.U, won them a trophy and got them back in the FA Cup but some of his man management has been questionable and he’s had the off field stuff to deal with but Ange had a far harder gig than Ten Haag did.

We know the absolute miracles Ange has pulled off at this club, we’re Spurs fans that chew and digest every Tottenham Hotspur morsel. I really don’t care what outsiders think, in fact I’m not that interested In their opinions at all.

Let's face it, a lot of our fans were underwhelmed by the appointment. Many wanted Nagelsmann and flipped out when we walked away (myself included). We had a split view on Slot but he was still preferred over Ange by many. Personally I had no idea about Ange so just tried to wait and see how he did first as its all you can do. Some of our best managers are typically ones who never did anything special previously. He has done an amazing job so far but he'll be the first to say it's early days and there's still lots of work to do. It's funny because he has me feeling we should challenge for the title already so every game is feeling like a must win to me. Its great to have that ambition again though.

What a bizarre article. He admits that Ange is an excellent coach but seems pissed off that others share his opinion. Fuck off mate.

Time for another Guardian piece on Ange.

That's a really weird take, the writer is so bitter in this article.

It seems like he's looking for an angle to criticise Ange and shows clear bias against him.

Not the first for a Guardian article as well, I remember one when Mourhino was at spurs and it was just a hate piece against Jose and had nothing to do with the football at the time.

I'm going to wildly generalise here but there are quite a few writers that just want to follow their bias rather than be subjective (their job btw). I remember listening to the guardian weekly podcast where one of the guys went on a rant about Bielsa and how he was the manager of the year at Leeds, it was bizarre. It's ok to have that opinion but to be so die hard in your views is not really the job of a journalist imo.

Just taking Ally Gold as an example, he is obvious spurs through and through and has his opinions, but he's always very subjective with them. That's how journalism should be.

I don't even mind strong opinions, they actually make things more interesting but they have to be based on something, the writer of this article seems to just dislike Ange full stop.

I would have thought you meant to say "objective".

Awful opinion, think Ange would have had the balls to wheedle out the workshy, invest less money in players to suit his style and then would have led the remainder to perform as they can. Ten bobs wasted money and just hasn’t been able to lead. I know they’ve had injuries but you would expect more

I love how vocally ambitious he is. So different to Conte who would be constantly managing fans' expectations and if we did win anything it would be a miracle and due to his unrivalled management.
