I just can't see us adding to our team in the way that I think so many Spurs fans would like to see for quite a while. Even when we do seem on the way to doing so with a few signings, we still ultimately end up coming off short of what we actually need. Every window it's the same lines we hear of needing to sell or limited funds.
I think my expectations are just very low now. I'm anticipating falling down the pecking order and anticipating losing Kane but I hope when we need to rebuild we actually do it with some ambition. God I sound like a miserable prick and the restart hasn't even come about but it's very frustrating to see Chelsea splash £50m even within the current circumstances.
It just really annoys me how players like Kane, Dele and Son in despite how well they've done and contributed to us being where we're at now, for years haven't seen any world class players come through the door to join the them. Dybala would have been so massive, for more than what he'd do on the pitch but for what he'd do to the dressing room, for the lads to see someone like that arriving it would completely galvanise and fire them up, raise their levels. It's not always the answer but I still think that's so important for a 'big' club. If you're not doing that then you at least need to fill the holes in the side with quality.
For the Chelsea players, especially as they're a young squad to have Ziyech and Werner join them in training will do so much for them as a team.
