We are not victims of anything. We can't blame the fixtures. Our away form during 2019 has been really poor. It doesn't matter if we play Man City or Southampton away, we just can't win. I think we will struggle to secure a top 4 spot this season. Our form in the latest 18 league games is 5-4-9.

And take a look at expected goals. During this season we have 8.14 expected goals. In expected goals against us we have 8.06. And look at the trend over time. It has nothing do with us being victims or that we are unlucky. We've not been good in a long long time. That's a fact. Our form and the statisitcs doesn't lie.

Wanyama ?
is there an emoji for a bad joke because that is what he is now. Gave the ball away for the goal and generally looked incapable of anything other than a jog. For goodnes sake, get Skipp on if you want someone to close down runners. Combination of VAR decision and Wanyama coming on just too much to take.

IMO, we are kind of poorly constructed and the fact that some important players have one foot out the door is making things even worse.

Who is our best winger? Is Son and Moura wingers or are they best as second strikers? I would say it's probably the latter. What is Dele's best position? Second striker. Therefore we have a logjam if we play one up top with players then playing out of their best position.

Our fullbacks are mid table at best. No width at any point due to FBs and lack of wingers.

Eriksen (well the old Eriksen) and Lamela are both likely best as a ten which leads to play a 4-2-3-1 but again what about wingers?

I think Winks, Sissoko, and Ndombele have been pretty good although TN has to get in better shape. Who is behind them? LoCelso's injury is hurting us but he may be best as a 10 too. No DM in the squad either except Wanyama (done), Dier (who knows) or Skipp (probably squad level player).

If this was American sports, I'd say trade Dele for a true pacy winger, role with a 4-3-3 with either Son or Lucas supporting Kane from one of the wing spots and role with W-S-N in midfield. But obviously we're stuck with what we have. I hope Poch can make it work, but as I said earlier, starting to feel like the end of a era (sadly).

We are unbalanced. A mixture of senior players who looked to leave, seniors who are committed and youth%newbies who are raw (and injured)

We were certainly poorer when he came on & Winks moved out of the centre, not that Winks is the greatest in there, but he generally does his best to stop the opposition getting shots from a central area. Wanyama was way out of position when Maddison took his shot.

Whoever it was that said the summer of no signings has a lot to do with where we find ourselves now had a point I think.

Also, I’m not sure having two or three players contracts on the verge of expiring isn’t entirely irrelevant either.

I do think are still playing incisive exciting football, the worrying thing is we are so so vulnerable. When we lead against decent opposition we look like we never look far away from conceding.

I know we are trying to protect Parrott and I understand why, but he looks like he has the makings of a top player. If Ansu Fati at 16yrs old can play for Barcelona surely Troy could make the bench get a few minutes if only to provide the opposition with something new to think about.

We are massively unbalanced. As someone said earlier, look at our defence today. All of them it would seem have sought ways out over the last season etc.

Try building a foundation on that!

I was rash earlier but I think we need to stick with Poch and readjust expectations. This is a season of transition the likes of which (thankfully) our revivals for a CL spot are also going through.

Level is not offside. VAR clearly not accurate for such small margins.
He was offside marginally, you could see it before it even went to VAR his shoulder was slightly ahead, unfortunate but the right call
