This being the chairman malarkey is easy huh?You just need someone to come in, free the shackles, put an arm around them, make them express themselves and we'll have a completely different mind set and approach. Whether it brings positive results, who know, but at least we can start to play expansive football that is far more suited to this group of players.
Well I'm not guessing if that's what you are asking.
I agree, he would be my choice, but I don't believe he would take much convincing to join us,I think he would join us in a heartbeat, the problem may be Leicester releasing him.Rodgers would be the ideal appointment but doubt could convince him to leave Leicester

Stop it, your teasing us.Can anyone remember the year Poch got sacked, I posted in September he wouldn't make to Christmas. Due to the behind the scenes stuff that was going on his position would become untenable???
Got a few neg reps and disagrees for that post iirc.
Well how far away is valentine's Day?
DOn't you fucking give me hope like thisCan anyone remember the year Poch got sacked, I posted in September he wouldn't make to Christmas. Due to the behind the scenes stuff that was going on his position would become untenable???

That wouldn't stop him even if true..He hates Levy, so he won’t be joining us
I think the thing most people are getting at is that we have seemingly sacrificed playing attractive football to bring in Mourinho to "win the league cup". People earlier in the post were saying they would be happy to play defensive football if we won trophies at the expense or in favour of finishing in the top four.I have watched some of their games this season and some of their play has been good on the eye, so yes, it's been enjoyable.
But,
Why shouldn't we be wanting shiny bits of tin? You want to watch your team win, winning can equate to shiny bits of tin, ergo why thumb your nose at it?
People in here have complained about the investment and lack of investment within the club over the years, why are they bothering to do either if the aim isn't to eventually win something?

This is how I feel about the situation too. I'm not going to rage out over it because honestly I don't think the main issue is the manager. Didn't think it was the case with Pochettino and I don't believe it now either. The issue is the quality of the squad. We are basically walking down the same path Arsenal did after the Emirates was built. One by one our stars will move on and the likes of Aurier, Winks, Dier, Sanchez, Lamela and Sissoko will still be regular starters, even though they have proved, over and over again, that they are not good enough for what we claim to be our goal.
So we don't want to win the FA Cup or the League cup because attractive football, Champions League and the fact we might attract a better sort of footballer?I think the thing most people are getting at is that we have seemingly sacrificed playing attractive football to bring in Mourinho to "win the league cup". Personally I'd rather watch a season of good attacking football that is exciting to watch and make sure we are in the champions league playing against the likes of Barca and Real rather 4 or 5 matches against no name teams or pl b teams and then competing for a b status trophy. Being in the champions league will get us closer to attracting better players and improving than winning the league cup.
I think under normal circumstances DL would be preparing to make the change. The one thing that I think will be playing into his decision is that there are two routes into the CL. There is top four and then there is winning the EL. Our chances of top four are fading but DL may feel that JM still gives us the edge in the EL. As soon as DL feels that JM is a detriment rather than a boost to our chances in the EL then he may just ditch him.
On the flip side there is the asset value of the squad which will be plummeting the longer they appear to be a bunch of donkeys. I do not personally believe that they are a bunch of donkeys, merely that they are being ordered to play in such a way as to make them look like a bunch of donkeys.
That wouldn't stop him even if true..
Where dyou here that?
