I really utterly dislike the comparison posts to Pochettino as if there's always a tribal fight that must live on, hence I'll try to keep this short.
No, of course it isn't "the same people". We have thousands logging on to Spurscommunity and quite possible hundreds actively posting every week. So between all of those people, of course there will be different opinions. That fact does not mean that everybody change their opinions as some overly sarcastic posters have been alluding to this week. For instance personally, do you know I didn't love how Tottenham played before Mourinho. I'm not a big fan of possession, I don't enjoy seeing my team complete multiple square passes around the midfield, and I doubt very much the effect of high pressing. So to me, it's a breath of fresh air to see a tactical team, I think it's enjoyable and interesting to watch. Finally we are rid of the possession obsession, it's to my liking. And I will very much let you like or dislike what you do. But don't argue for your dislike now by claiming that other posters around you having somehow dishonourably changed their views.
Agree and I'll add in my tuppence also:

"A wise man changes his mind sometimes, a fool never. To change your mind is the best evidence that you have one."

The people who say "different views are held by, wait for it, different people" are the same people who don't said we'd never finish in the top four under ENIC.

Whatever style it is, I am sure most fans (99%) will have this preference (in order):

Attacking fancy football and Win >
Defensive football and Win >
Attacking fancy football and Lose >
Defensive football and Lose.

So not much of a debate really. As long as we keep winning no fans will give much shit about whether it is attacking or defending football although the former will be an icing on the cake

Love seeing everyone enjoying defending so much

Are these all the same people that loves us attacking under Poch?

Some supporters make me laugh. Will always try and justify and twist a situation into a Tottenham centric viewpoint

The same people that think a players overrated when he wants to leave. Is amazing if he’s about to sign or was shit anyway if he decides to go somewhere else instead of joining us

Yeah always loved the Jose style....

No he’s not really defensive.....

Great to watch a team park the bus and try and catch the opposition on the break 3/4 times in 90mins

Who wants to watch all that tippytippy possession football trying to attack and dominate the opposition

Yeah well we won’t play like this every week just in the important games where we don’t won’t to lose. Shouldn’t be more than about 15 maybe 20 of them this season

Cracks me up...

I like winning, how about that?

Ah!! But at what cost because uncle Jose will win at any cost. He is the most single minded winning machine I’ve seen in my lifetime

No morels or scruples when Jose crosses the white line. Winning is EVERYTHING

Don’t get me wrong I’m team Jose but I’m not deluded as to what that entails

Sorry fella check back I was on board with his appointment because sadly poch had to go, I was delighted that someone of his standing came to us.

Like myself you’re obviously an extremely intelligent chap but many were 100% opposed to Jose, didn’t think he was the right fit, a dinosaur, a fossil etc etc etc

Basically all I’m saying is people shouldn’t try and dress these performances up as anything other than extremely defensive displays with the intention of not losing the game and nicking something on the break
In think this is fair, but I think that it isn’t true of all our performances, and it’s that adaptability which has us top. V Newcastle, WBA and Burnley we tried to be the aggressors but the latter two defended for their lives against us and shut us out. And the former robbed us blind after their keeper played a worldy and our strikers had their boots on backwards. Brighton I think we intended to go on the front foot but they just played very well and are a very good possession side, and v Everton and West Ham it’s tough to judge as we didn’t look like there was any plan in those matches (score for the first 80 minutes flattered us v West Ham).

Utd and Southampton are the outliers in that both are clearly good sides which should win most games, but we were winning the ball higher up in both games and playing very cutting football. The common denominator between them though, unlike v Chelsea and City, is that we probably fancied our midfield over theirs in the possession stakes.

Outside of being pragmatic, what moral line does Jose cross?

I absolutely loved the poch years, there were things I wish he done differently but he's by far the favourite manager spurs have had of my lifetime and changed the stature of the club and I loved the way we played at times.

I also love the way Jose approaches games, I love the professionalism. I love the fact that usually when Arsenal are out of form and we're on it that I usually worry in the NLD that we'll see a big swing but with Jose in charge, I feel confident he won't allow it.

I don't know why I have to pick and choose a style of football to live and die by, or a manager to live and die by. I'll happily say when I'm loving what they're doing and I'll also be critical if there's things I'd love to see done differently.

You know that supporting Jose isn't like joining the illuminati, no-one's asking you to kill a family member to prove your allegiance to Jose big man, it's really not that deep.

Apparently that’s what it’s tantamount to. I don’t get the ‘I’d rather play beautiful football and lose’ mentality. I’d like us to win some trophies before having those kind of principles.
Which is odd, because I think we're playing some fucking good football right now.
