If poch got Bruno Fernandes would be have been sackex?
'the sheep' are the ones who still think a change of manager is where thfocus is, so why there isn't a 'baaa' in your post baffles me.
haha, when it was obvious we were going to lose the site got about 75% busier
This is the sort of scenario Redknapp did well in.
He would have plugged the holes in our team with good professionals either on loans or at the ends of their careers.
You can criticise him but for me he was very good at compensating for Levy’s transfer madness.
Why not? Many teams do.
It's quite clear from that the way Mourinho has us set up that the full backs are supposed to be key to our attacking play. Yesterday evening, they were given the ball in great positions on numerous occasions, with plenty of space and time. Not once did they deliver a cross (high or low) of any quality or accuracy. Not once did they create a chance. Wholly unacceptable from highly paid professional footballers. If they had done their job, we would have won regardless their (and others') comical defending.
I wasn't a fan of appointing Mourinho in the first place but since we announced him I've always said I'm prepared to give him a chance and so far that hasn't changed for me. The problem is I think Mourinho could do a good job if he gets all the players he wants, but we all know that isn't going to happen. One of the reasons I wasn't in favour of him is that he is just completely incompatible with Levy. If we're not going to back him, then it was pointless hiring him of all people IMO.
You think he will win a trophy at Spurs do you?
Poch's tactics encompassed various elements which made us a good defensively.
Unified press, ball retention, High line, maurauding FB's etc.
New manager, new tactics and these players are being exposed even more becauuse they don't have the robust system to compensate for them any more.
We’ll struggle for top 8 mate never mind top 4Every top club has a great GK, great fullbacks and usally those with pace, quality DM (or box to box), at least one great creative player and good forwards. You can't play good modern football without all of those, said it 2 years ago. CBs all regressed, Wanyama is gone and broken and FBs aren't good enough. With Everton, Newcastle and Wolves getting money and us becoming Arsenal 2.0 because of stadium we will struggle for top 4 unless there is another Bale or two in the academy. I feel pity for Mourinho not Pochettino, he left at the right time.
Spot onWhat system would stop both CBs ball-watching and being the wrong side of their man or marking empty space? Unless we stop literally every ball into the box, there's no system that can protect from those fuck ups.
Apart from the thumping we took against Brighton? The loss at home to Newcastle? The huffing and puffing in the first meeting against Villa? The defend at all costs against the then mighty free falling Watford away? The cluster fuck at Bayern?Poch's tactics encompassed various elements which made us a good defensively.

Don't buying that we are so much more solid defensively just yet. Lots of players are rusty and not up to speed yet. Not even to mention team plays. Our defence will be challenged way much more soon I think. Then we can judge.
One game?
