There are some absolute belters, but I’m keeping my powder dry until we lift a trophy.
I still just don’t get how so many people were so eager to write him off though...baffling.

I was confident at the beginning, had a bit of a wobble v Everton and now I’m all good again. In Jose we trust.

after the last few weeks of crazy fixtures, i now see a team\squad hungry for success. All talk is now about the team success. No more whining when somebody doesn't pass to you, 100% team effort. There seems to be a winning mentality now more than ever, and that has to be down to Jose. He is getting the best out of Tanguy now, and if Dele is as smart as i think he is, he will see Jose can be the making of him as well

Jose has a completely different attitude since he joined us compared to when he was at ManU.
Much more humble.
The ball boy last season, the coach in Slovenia and taking the photo.
During the pandemic, he took food to food banks.
He has turned our team into a winning team, with his management skills.
I find him very sincere, may this continue.

I think Mourinho has always been charismatic but at the same time Spurs is probably the best situation he has been in for a long time - relatively low pressure, realistic expectations that he can probably exceed and a good squad which he has been able to balance out with a proper professional relationship with Levy who as frustrating as he can be is still a highly intelligent and competent operator

Think he quickly realised Utd were a mess and Woodward was a joke and yet still with high pressure and unrealistic expectations and that frustration boiled over a lot at Utd

Chelsea was a pretty weird title defence to be fair but it’s a rotten club with rotten values - probably eroded his mind too

Is this the week Mourinho's Spurs were born? I certainly hope and think it is.

We look so dangerous going forward and now we are starting to figure out the midfield and getting a foothold in games. Kane and Son are linking up better than ever and our squad depth is looking seriously good.

Long may it continue. Time for Spurs and Jose to put themselves back on the map in style. COYS.

Something that stood out to me from Son's interview post match, he was so happy to assist Kane and gutted he didn't set up another. Mentioned how unselfish the team was. That's all Jose. Maybe he's increased the assist bonus but both Kane and Son are linking up better than ever and looking great for it. I think Kane already has his best assist numbers and we're only a few games into the season!

When you play Jose's way you have to put the team first and play the better pass if you can. Not bad principles to work to. Get ahead in games with this team and other chances will come.

I've never seen us more ruthless, I've never been as excited to be a spurs fan. Honestly can't believe I'm witnessing such a fucking strong squad and the manager has created a team that seemingly looks like it's going to hold each other accountable not to let the standard slip.

And Lamela should have been sent off as well, I don’t understand the point of VAR if it’s not used for stuff like that.

The difference for me is Lamela's was a slightly over-aggressive footballing action, in the sense that he was using his arm to fend off an opponent and yeah he probably shoved him more aggressively than is really necessary so possibly deserved a yellow for it at most.

Martial on the other hand intentionally raises his hand to the opponent's face in a way that, regardless of how softly he did it, is in no way related to any kind of part of the game / footballing action. There's absolutely no way you can even begin to come up with a footballing explanation for what he did and therefore it's a black and white decision. What he did is a straight red all day long whereas Lamela there's a bit of a grey area.

Im not a fan of Lamela falling on the floor feigning injury but I have to agree with you here. I think a lot of people focused on lamela elbow contacting with martial but that wasnt the part of his arm leading the action, he wasn't purposefully swinging his elbow around, martial on the other clearly tried to slap him.

I have not liked Mourinho, never did, always saw him as a person who made it all about him, wanted to be the centre of attention, probably got convinced from the 2nd spell at Chelsea and especially at Manchester United, when I heard he had been appointed as our manager I was gutted, boring, defensive minded football, but this week has changed my view, high pressing, counter attacking and probably the best player management I have seen.

The players look hungry and up for the fight, so yeah don't like him but damn the impact he is having is definitely showing through, he can be the game changer if this continues.

Not sure about Jose being a ‘nice guy’. I have ITK from someone I know who worked on Amazon doc that said all our players were really friendly and nice but Jose was ‘vile’. He actually said they could have really ruined him with some of the footage they have that didn’t make the final cut.

Sorry to dig this up but it stuck with me when you posted it because I didn't believe it for a second.

Anybody really think a 'vile' manager could of handled the squad the way he has in this hectic schedule and come away with some staggeringly good performances and results in such quick succession?

Nope, neither do I.

I might be in the minority, but this week (from Newcastle) I have seen us generally defend much better. We barely conceded any efforts against them, nor Chelsea after they scored, Maccabi had (very good) pot shots from long range, United were restricted.

The clean sheet isn't far off. Penalties have cost us in that regard (or just really bloody good shots). I can see improvement game on game. Today especially. When we took the game from them there we NO silly passes at the back. Very, very few errors. We've been smashing it up top, but we're getting better at the back, too. Jose's tactics and work in training are coming into play.

I said to a United-supporting friend this morning, that a decisive win today would be the marking of the start of the Jose Mourinho era at Tottenham.

Here we fucking go lads...
