I imagine that Lo Celso would be horrified to play under Premier League, La Liga and Champions League winner Jose Mourinho, bet he's already calling his agent to look for a way out from under such a horrific turn in his professional career. :playful:

so why didn't the players play for him at Man U, 3 or 4 of them wanted out

something we have in common then.

still, no need to go straight for personal attacks on people, totally uncalled for.

I don't take it personally, 2 straight losses under Moaninho and he will be 1 of the 1st on the out wagon.

I will support Spurs, but I won't support him

he might call them out, but doubt they will back him enough, took a lot of money to turn Chelsea into a machine and that was when he was pretty fresh
The problem is, Levy dug himself into such a hole with contracts and barely any turnover, he is now forced to spend. He played himself. Horrendously poor job running the football side during such a crucial period.

It's not. I've seen it several times
Probably won't happen, but it's not farfetched. Specially if the don't get playing time with Mourinho

you did miss something off of that, or when he embarrasses them after a bad performance

so what's the excuse with the players that wanted a change with Poch, do you honestly think they are not eyeing up that signing bonus with a hefty wage.

any player should play for the club that's paying them, under Poch enough of them weren't. if they have ideas of moving in the summer what makes you think they will change their minds, and how do you not know these Argentinians won't want out or do what the others have done and down tools. Sometimes a player signs for a manager because of his history, Poch is well respected by his countrymen.

Okay

All got a bit weird in here. Poch is gone, no changing that. Mourinho who, with a terrible Man Utd team, won the Europa League, FA cup and finished 2nd in the Premier League.

He is a winner, and I am glad we are giving this a go, what have we got to lose? Under Poch we have been a horrible horrible team for nearly a year so why not give Mourinho a try and see if he can win us a thing or two. It will further raise our profile and then if we want to go hire a young and up and coming manager the club will be all the better for it.

Mourinho is exactly what we need.

Mourinho did not have forward like Kane,Son,Dele,Lucas at either Chelsea or at United. He won the PL at Cheslea with Costa. Think what he could do with these 4...

Dele will flourish under Jose. Jose will love his attitude, ability to play without ball and finishing from midfield. Dier will get his game time now. Lloris, Aurier will be booted out by summer. I expect one of Toby , Jan to sign new deal as well...

Fabregas at Chelsea was a poor version of Fabregas at Barca or even Arsenal. Hazard, I agree. In his mood, he is great player.
Anyway, I am talking about selfless, ruthless, goal scoring forwards.
Kane, Son will flourish under him. So will Dele. Lucas - I dont know but he is very squad player which Jose has always liked to have in past

I agree Levy done a poor job on the footballing side, but building the stadium at a time when the Sheik took over City didn't exactly fall right for Poch. Poch took a team that was always on the edge of the top 4, to regular top 4.

Poch totally messed up not signing plan B's in 2018, though it was also mentioned that summer that we had to sell the deadwood, not to be able to buy, but due to our squad size and lack of HG.

this summer is the 1st real time Levy has backed Poch, unfortunately Ndombele has admitted he is finding it tough, GLC got injured so it's slowed his integration, and Sess has just started getting involved.

do you really believe we could have chucked much more at the squad to catch City when we were building a stadium that near enough double in cost, let alone with all the cost of the hold-ups.

whoever does take over in the long-term they are going to have to re-build this squad we have right now

When he was at United ostracising Martial most of the forum were giddy at the thought of Martial coming here.

I'm on the fence about Jose. But if he gets us playing like he got the chavs playing (in his 2nd stint) up until Poch (?) smashed them 5-2(?) I would be very happy. I think people forget how good they were at the start of that season.

I also think he could shine again with us, he won't have as much pressure as UTD and Madrid.

He got the most amount of assists by far (18) and had the 2nd highest chance creation in the entire league ffs :D

Anyway point taken.

Mourinho gets pelters for his stance on certain players at United...1 year on,just look at those players...

Rashford - Still not scoring more than 10 a PL season. Still a flash in the pan
Martial - Sulking again. Not good enough
Shaw - Good talent but I can easily name 5 to 7 better PL left backs than him.

United just bigged up some of their young players when they didnt deserve to be. Atleast with our squad, there are no moaners. Poch has made sure that squad has none of that nonsense. Best player in squad is the best role model in the squad as well. Mourinho gets far better quality players with least number of egos. He will be the big dog in the room. I can actually see this working with players trying hard to impress him & perform.

he didn't win the FA Cup, he won the League Cup v Southampton thanks to no VAR
